Ugh. That's like saying you miss Polio. Or X-Pac.

Are you hating on Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon, or both?

I like 'em both, but I prefer Cheri.

And Mya Rudolph is a hottie. Yeah, I said it.

Yikes. I almost had to re-rate you for that.

Slightly more on-topic, what planet are we on now where Justin Timberlake was a better (and funnier!) guest host than Jack Black?

No kidding....Timberlake actually did a helluva job, though I think he was helped by better writing. I notice that whenever SNL has a non-actor host, they tend to have better skits, so perhaps the writers saved their good stuff for Timberlake and figured "Hey, it's Jack Black, he can wing it."

I was surprised by TImberlake as well, that punk'd sketch was hilarious. My onlu complaint is now I got "comin on into Omeletteville" stuck in my head.

Eh, I hearted her before then... on Upright Citizens Brigade. She was great on the Sharon Osbourne spoof, though. Still haven't caught any of Fred Armisen, but now that I remember where I recognize him from (HBO Zone interstitials) I wonder how he is on SNL.

Molly Shannon. Cheri Oteri was a decent physical comedian - and cute as a button to boot. Molly Shannon was a grating ball of human excrement who played the same annoying character in every sketch. She's FIFTY!

And Amy Poehler ruled long before Upright Citizen's Brigade (or at least before the Comedy Central show when non-New Yorkers got to see it). She's ruled ever since she played Andy Richter's sister who had a huge crush on Conan.

Ana Gasteyer was better than both of them. Cheri Oteri was starting to grate on me by her last season, but she left before she really jumped the shark, so to speak. I can still look back on her SNL tenure fondly, whereas Molly Shannon's horrific last two seasons ruined her. I think she cracked up in literally every sketch she appeared in during that time.

I think Timberlake's episode was helped greatly by shorter skits and a shakeup in the format a bit. Some of it worked (Punk'd), but some of it was pretty weak (Sully and Denise). At least it was all relatively short.

Two brief points: Hammond's Arnold bit is a 5-minute one-note joke, but CARL FUCKING WEATHERS made a nice cameo.

I thought Timberlake made the Sully & Denise sketch, personally.

"I was only minorly diddled"

The Arnold & BeeGees segments really dragged, though.

Meanwhile, the show seemed to have featured BIZARRO FALLON, as Jimmy didn't seem to break character the entire night.

Now I thought that the Bee Gees skit was one of if not the funniest "final throwaway skit of the night" sketches I have ever seen. And yes, Jimmy Fallon was on that night.

But why did Justin get 3 songs? Worse yet, they seemed to cut the Weekend Update segment to give Timberlake that time to see every song on his album. Overall, the show wasn't that great, but mad props to Justin for the Punk'd sketch. That was hilarious and the highlight of the season thus far.

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

I liked the Bee Gees sketch too.

I thought the Omletteville had a great premise, but the ending or conclusion didn't do much for me.

I hate it when the musical guest does 3 numbers.

Carl Weathers' ad for Governor rocked!!

They should never cut the news down like that again. Ever.

Justin did a fine job, savvy guy.

Yeah ... Daryl Hammond's Ah-nuld impression is good, but the skits aren't really funny at all to me ...
