I know it's just starting, but it gets an AUTOMATIC thumbs up for having RAGE KAGE in the montage! KG + Jack calling himself JB = possibly more Tenacious D!

I was channel flipping, and 5 mins after madTV did a Queer eye for the straight GUY skit (Jacko was the stright(?) guy), SNL had the Queer eye for the straight GAL skit...I thought it was funny that madTV beat them to the punch, so to speak.
Almost finished my 2002-2003 College Football raitings. Watch this space!!!
Bleh. The funniest part of the whole episode was when he mispronounced John Mayer's name wrong and immediately knew it. The camera cut away just as he made the "oh shit" face.
Hail to the Redskins! Patrick Ramsey will own you! 15-1, here we come!
Good to see Tina Fey updated her material in the offseason. Hey, at least Fallon held it together for an entire episode.
Pretty underwhelming for a season premiere. The Dratch/Poehler/Rudolph trio pretty much held it together. I actually think Timberlake will shine next week.
I actually enjoyed it. Being old and unhip, I had no idea about that MTV dance show. The skit was pretty damn funny, then I saw the actual show on MTV this morning as I was flipping.
Much like they did with The View, the skit makes me able to watch the actual show because I can see it now as the most gloriously awful show on tv. Who would actually give any of these clowns $100,000 for dancing??
I was surprised how little they used Fallon, which is a good thing, not that I don't like him, but I think he was a little overexposed in skits last year. Let somebody else have a turn.

Will Forte and Fred Armisen in only one sketch each = bad.
I was hoping for the triumphant return of the Falconer last night, but no such luck. I do like the skit with the four losers in a how-to class. That's been one of the funniest sketches consistently on there. I laugh so hard everytime Fred Armisen's character talks.
It's good to see Seth Myers and Jeff Richards as full time cast members. So are Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, and Dean Edwards the only ones who didn't come back?
Oh, and was that the Good Burger kid? WTF?

That was Kenan from All That, Kenan and Kel, Good Burger, etc. etc.
And as for the dancing show skit, Jack Black defintely MADE THAT skit with his hyperactive dancing. Also, they have Timberlake be guest host and musical guest, but not Jack Black? Kage was RIGHT THERE! And they used him once, I mean calling yourself JB and then having KG makes a D mark like myself hope for more. Sure Mayer has a new CD, but the D's DVD comes out soon and they have been on SNL since 98, so I wish they could have done something more with them.

Jack Black made that sketch with the coolest t-shirt ever. Seriously, I would kill for a Jesus Is My Homeboy shirt.
I thought it was a pretty good show - suprised no one mentioned the Will Ferrell cameo (would've been even funnier if he hadn't come out on stage either)
Personally, though, I'd be happy if the whole show was Weekend Update. (The more the conservatives hate Tina Fey, the more I love her. As soon as the recall election is over, if I'm still here, I hope I remember to make her quote about things George W. Bush can't find my new .sig file.)

OFB, check out Urban Outfitters, they have the shirt there.

Um....why would conservatives hate Tina Fey?
(besides, she's HOT)
The answer is that Tina is the head writer on the mostly conservative bashing show. In fact, she relishes in Repub jokes and even will mouth "I'm sorry" for some of the jokes she makes about liberals/Democrats. I don't mind too much (because that is the basic crux of the show), but Tina does seem to act stuck up and snobby in her biases.
(But yes, she is pretty cute nonetheless.)
About the show, it was decent, but I can't stand for Will making it to regular status and not Fred. Furthermore, Jeff Richards mostly blows (except for the Letterman impression), so I'm not keen on his promotion. Jack Black made the show for me, along with the always great Amy Poehler. I dig Seth Meyers, but that Wade Robson skit was awful. I hope that the writing gets better for next week's show or else J. Lake is in for a long night.
Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.
TS, the greatest Wiener rated 6.1554 ever to live!! Oops, I mean 5.5...4.5?? Oh, dammit! I guess Notorious FAB was right.

I dunno...maybe I never notice it. Some of the shots taken at Dems are pretty egregious too.

Two reasons...
Mayer's got a lot more corporate money & exposure behind him than the D.
And The D hasn't performed live together since the tour for the album. While Jables has been doing movies, KG has been playing in a side-project called Trainwreck with TD assistant (and song subject) Lee.

I was really unimpressed with the SNL premier ... I think Weekend Update blows (and no i am not a conservative) ... I don't think I've ever laughed at the Fey/Fallon WU. Bring back Norm ...
