I have a guilty little pleasure (well several to be exact). I like to watch the matches on the PS2 HCTP. I had one match that was a hardcore battleroyal ala WM2000. It went for 6 mins and had 6 wrestlers. They were Nash, Steiner, Goldberg, RVD, Austin, and Flair, and goddamit it was a workrate dream. About 7 poochie bombs. Heaps of title changes, but the IWC bumboy RVD ends up going over. I may just give up watching wrestling and stick to the PS2.

Here Comes The Pain is a decent game, but "best game ever period"? Not likely. That honour should be left for epic RPGs like Final Fantasy 8 or something like that.
I like the Smackdown series, no doubt; they're much better than the ultra hard and cheap N64 games.
SD2: April, Year 3; what's the point to the Career mode, anyhow? FF7: Disc 1; 4h into game; en route to the next reactor FF8: Disc 2; 15h into game; Squall, Rinoa, Irvine vs. Master NORG. FF9: Disc 1; 3h into game; traversing the ice cavern

Set the gender to "other" and go through a season or two until you have the stats you want, take them out of season, and then set the gender back to female.
The other way, as was said, is to copy another CAW that has the stats that you would want to use, and then reset the body type to female.

Phantasy. Star. IV.
If you really want a renewed appreciation for HCTP, try playing Smackdown 2 for an hour or so. It's pretty amazing how far this series has progressed.

I still play SD2 once in a while; but it's just not fun anymore. No challenge, no point, nada.
I'm digging Final Fantasy IX now, but that's another story for another thread.

I wouldnt call an RPG the best game ever, but then I hate RPGs, I'd go for something like Castlevania SOTN or IMO the Madden series. HCTP is a very cool game though. Oh and the Thrill....huthuthuthuthuthuthuthuthuthut
I always preferred Troy Aikman NFL Football for the SNES; it was a blast to play, and wasn't as complicated as many other football games released during that time. It was easy enough for a non-football fan such as myself to delve into.

You did, however, break the table. Shame on you.
No Bo Jackson was a God on the original Tecmo Bowl. In Tecmo Super Bowl they toned him down somewhat but he was still a beast. Thurman Thomas was REALLY good on TSB as was "The Nigerian Nightmare" Christian Okoye.
WIENER OF THE DAY! July 6, 2002!
Wienerville Survivor League Co-Champion If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like "Hey, look. He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink.
I'm an RPG geek myself but I hesitate to hold up any console/computer RPG as the best ever, simply because the "RP" in most of them is necessarily limited. Even in the most immersive, open-ended of them (like a Morrowind, say) you're limited to the interaction that the developers give you. None of them let you "role-play" to the degree that I'd need to be able to say that it's a game that lives up to all expectations, and blows me away.
I'd vote for something that acknowledges the limitations of a genre, and excels within or even breaks out of them... like C:SotN, or Final Fantasy: Tactics. Stuff that you can pretty much always go back, fire up, and enjoy.

There was only one other player on the NES version of TSB that was as God-like, and that was Randall Cunningham. Until those games at the end of the year where the computer starts to tighten up, I could average about 300+ yards passing and about 130 yards rushing per game for him.
One year he threw for about 4800 yards and ran for over 1500 yards...it's too bad they didn't have a trade option for that game, cause you put Thurman Thomas in that backfield, I don't think I would have ever lost

inncorrect.
if theres another SD game coming out, the only way for it to claim the title of best SD game ever, will be to include the following.
1) Kane. where's his sit-up?! i love Kane to death, and love to beat the crap out of ppl with him, but when he gets put down, he has NEVER sat back up, through out all the games. everyone else has their own little mannerisms, but the consistantnly overlook this one. would it be so hard to make it so that every 1 in 10 times Kane is knocked down, he sits up properly?! grrr >
also, you know how they added in a few little PRE-finisher things. like the Rock has a move that is him stalking the opponent, and when they turn around it counts as groggy, and u can rock bottom them? same for Goldberg and Shawn Michaels. they have moves that lead into you using their finishers. well i think they need to do this for Kane too. have a move whereby he stands over them, arm cocked in the air, and they stumble to their feet, turn around, BAM, chokeslam. it would be way sweeter.
