The game comes out next month.

Probably the last game with HBK in the main roster. No Daniels, but he maybe a hidden character or part of a DLC later in the year. Supposedly there are 70 characters for the game, so maybe Austin or Rock and other legends are hidden if not expect to pay for them. Last year's game had one DLC and that was it, so I am not sure if we will see 70 or not. Gameplay seems to be about the same as last year from what I understand. The AI is going to get beefier with actions you take in story mode will cause a number of different twist and turns. I did hear a rumor they are going to expand the create a storyline to include more CAW wrestlers. Speaking of CAWs, if you don't want to pay for the DLC stuf, the XBox Live CAWs are amazing and I would recommend that if you want to play with Legends and or the entire Marvel or DC universe as well as others.

You understood wrong.

VERY wrong.

There are SEVERAL differences in this version, some of which could make this the best wrasslin' video game ever.

- GREATLY improved physics engine. Examples from hands-on previews "You can lean a table or ladder up against the ring ropes or the barricade, throw an opponent into it, and watch as the object reacts to the weight. When the Undertaker just clipped the side of a table with Y2J's body, just the legs on that side of the table gave out. Then, the Undertaker picked up Jericho and powerbombed him onto the remaining section of the table. You can even lean a closed ladder on a standing ladder for a ramp"....."This was even more evident when the ladders got involved. When I used a double-underhook suplex to toss the Undertaker onto a ladder I had placed on the mat, Taker hit, grabbed the small of his back, and stayed on the ladder. When Undertaker powerbombed me onto a ladder resting in the corner, the ladder bent in half and sandwiched me there".

- Create-a-finisher moves from the corner (in addition to beefing up the existing versions, including ones from the top rope).

- You now can make a near-maxed out Create a Superstar right off the bat, so no need to "level grind" your guy.

- Road to Wresltmania now operates like "Here Comes the Pain" with free roaming backstage elements. ...."This new mode involves an extensive free-roaming backstage area that affects the narrative as much as events in the ring. Players can visit a variety of locations including locker rooms, the manager's office, and a training room that can be used to boost stats. While walking around, players will encounter a living wrestling world; in the demonstration, a player wandered into a room where Randy Orton was cutting a promo and another room where The Miz was getting shaken down for sushi coupons by Hornswaggle. While backstage, players can navigate using a cell phone, which is also used to receive calls to make allies and enemies. Speaking of enemies, while backstage fights can break out at any time, we witnessed a number of brawls, including some car crashes. There was one in which a superstar smashed the front window of a car with a sledge hammer and pulled a wrestler through the broken window. A player's decision to fight or not to fight backstage affects alliances and enemies in the ring. Special features in Road to WrestleMania include an unlockable Bill and Ted-style time machine that can be used to go back in the story and relive or change a narrative's history".

And by far the most awesome thing is the merging between Seasons Mode and Exhibition Mode now known as "WWE Universe"...."in which the game automatically generates an events calendar for players and dynamically adjusts the fight ticket and venue based on in-game performance and story decisions. The Universe main menu includes a ticker displaying upcoming matches and rankings with red down arrows and green up arrows denoting a players current standing. The ultimate goal of Universe is to win enough matches to set up pay-per-view title fights and increase a wrestler's standing.

All of Universe is customizable and allows players to change matches on their calendar and set up teams manually. It also allows players to choose villains and heroes or allies and enemies. Allies will help during gameplay by interceding in matches on your behalf, while villains will do the opposite. In Universe, player actions also affect end match cutscenes, which are generated in engine based on alliances and enemies. Ultimately, Universe is essentially exhibition and career mode tied together".

Tell me, does that not sound AWESOME? I'm pre-ordering this and getting it on release. Period. Click Here (gamespot.com)

EDIT: DC1 will be available to all of those who buy the game new and use the Online Pass.

I gotta say, I'm very intrigued by the potential for this game, if it lives up to how its advertised. I rented but didn't buy 2008, 2009 or 2010 but I think I might just spring for 2011.

Holiday DLC: The Nexus and the Allied Powers! FINALLY! Davey Boy Smith and Lex Luger together again! (Except they probably won't include the Allied Powers' mash up theme. Was that the first example of a wrestling mashup theme? I think so. Go 1994!)

They might not include the mashup, but earlier versions of the game (2009 did this) would let you use MP3's that were on your 360's hard drive as entrance music (I used Castle Crasher's main theme as one!). So just download the youtube video, convert it to MP3, then move it to the 360.

The persistent and free-roaming aspects of this is what sold me. Going into Road to Wrestlemania with your CAW is one thing. But to be roaming backstage and picking out fights with random people during their interview segments is MONEY. I think you do your own run-ins, that's MONEY. You see two people fighting and jump in and help one of them is MONEY. Do your own heel turns is MONEY.

MONEY.

The create-a-finisher thing looks wicked great as well. I am already imagining what moves I will be making.

Totally different gameplay looking at these previews. Every preview I've seen speaks highly of this game. I'm so stocked.

I also read that you can now aim a finisher to avoid ropes and toward those now-reactive objects. In addition, moves can end in pins with a button activation, meaning you're not stuck wasting a strong move on a pinning finisher in a Last Man Standing or Inferno match. For example, a PerfectPlex can end in a pin if you want.

It's the sensation that is sweeping the nation. Ok not really.... But maybe. I was one of the unfortunate PS3 buyer's of this game. Pre-order game and a bunch of three pack characters and characters that weren't on available on the three-pack.
