Ok so Dean didn't do one tonight so me and Phil are pitching in.
Ha-ha Dean now your stuck having to watch RAW. I expect lots of references to piles of poo and scuking dick.
PAS: They almost had a full on Brawl for All moment as Daniel Puder comes this close to snapping Angles arm. Also looking at Angle next to semi-normal humans, you can really tell how huge his HGH head is now. He looks like Lara Flynn Boyle.
TKG: I thought this just showed how much Puder didn't understand the business. If he broke Angle's arm he would have been able to get Rulon Gardner money in Pride and a Japan contract for life. Instead he just lets go. I've kind of enjoyed this Smackdown version of Tough Enough more than the MTV one because this one has been bullshit. Its really felt like an old school regional thing. Like it was booked by Ole. Here is a football player showing how he can't hang with WWE. This is Angle schooling folks showing how real it is, etc. Well that one failed. hopefully they're embarrassed enough to bring in Finlay next week.
PAS: Dawn Marie has a nice headbutt
TKG: Main event was sweet. Thus far match of the week. Bradshaw and Booker work surprisingly well together. Did they feud in Global ever? I remember when Bradshaw brought in the Ministry to go after Undertaker. Does WWE own the Global footage yet? Bradshaw really should bring in Gary Young, Steve Dane, Tom Burton and Guido Falcone as his Global Army to take out Booker. As long as he doesn't bring in Tony Norris...since I worry that would just lead to Clarence Mason complaining about Booker using the "T" name illegally and that would just ruin the Global substory. I remember when XWF was pimping Josh Mathews as being the next Tiger Mask and well he clearly was far and away the best Tough Enough trainee as he smoked every other one in the ring. He hasn't worked for something like two years and still just looked like he had far better understanding of wrestling than Maven. Really liked the "sacrifice" spot and the way he sold the kick to the back. Does anyone have his XWF matches on tape?
PAS: I still haven't seen Spanky's girlfriends ARSION matches or the guy who works exclusively as Rockin Rebel's tag partner, but I agree with Tom here. Those Tiger Mask matches really don't age well on tape, I think Babe Face could have had matches that good with Matthews, he seems to sell better. I can't tell how good Matthews v. Fujiwara UWF style would be though.
What Didn't Work
PAS: Mark Jindrak was I guy I consistently enjoyed on Velocity, had a really good series with both Shannon Moore and Orlando Jordan, but dang he was shityy here. I can't remember the last Rey Mysterio Jr. match which stunk this bad, I am sure he was stuck working Drakula and Wolfman in Juarez in 1992.
TKG: Rey was able to carry matches where he was stuck with Suzuki, RVD and Dupree in the ring with him. And yet here we get this????? Ok I'm blaming all you fuckers who were pimping Schnitsky for this shit. The most "over" guy on the WWE roster is a guy who is over because he's so sloppy and untrained that people find it amusing. So Vince fires all his trained guys and brings up and continues to hold onto Aguilera and Tomko. And Rey, RVD, Jindrak and Horshu figure "Ok the only way to hold onto our jobs is to sell sloppily and expose the business". I guess I could blame the Angle and HBK fans out their for this too. but I'm blaming the Schnitsky fans.
PAS: Aaron Augilara? Couldn't they have Rodney Mack as a fake Puerto Rican? Custom Chuckie P is working a custom car gimmick, Puerto Ricans like rims. I personally think Jimmy Jacobs/Cena v. Jose Gonzalzes/Carlito could be pretty good.
I wasn't initially a big fan of the Brock mega-push, but it has worked. He's getting the pops of a main eventer. I just don't see how hard it would be for them to do it three or four more times and have a whole crew of new top guys.
