It was awesome. Just have Eddy stand and have the people hate him. They took a risk and it worked.

I gotta agree with you there. Still not the best I've ever seen, but worlds better than the Classic FU where his opponent was lightly placed on the mat. Is that the first time that he's done that variation? And wasn't the FU originally a Death Valley Driver type move? | DEAN RASMUSSEN

Being two bicuspids, I would assume they would challenge for the tag belt. (God, I can't wait for Holly and Haas to win the belts. From an Artistic Standpoint.)

I envisioned a joint reign like Jericho and Chyna's shared IC belt. Then Right will turn on Left and join the revamped Issac Yankem's new League of Dentrifice alongside Molar Malloy, Chomper, and their valet Enamel Jones.

I agree. I hope he actually continues with that execution of it, and doesn't half-ass it when it's a bigger guy he's throwing around.
And count me as the one person who was not entertained by Eddy just standing there. I think that a lot of you have been swayed by your love of anything Eddy Guerrerro does, and were thus fooled into thinking that someone standing there, and stepping on a mask with a goofy scowl on his face, is entertaining. | BendyStraws

| #14 Posted on 20.5.05 1213.59 | Speaking as someone who enjoys Eddy, but is not exactly a big mark for the guy, I think I would have enjoyed the Eddie segment a lot more if the rest of the show was more satisfying. It was tough for me to really get into the 5-minutes of standing around when I had been waiting the entire show for SOMETHING of note to happen. Had Eddy's non-promo starkly contrasted lots of action and excitement elsewhere in the show, it would have accomplished the intended effect more, I think.
It was a great idea, just needed a different context, IMHO. If anyone can pull off a moment like that, it's definitely Eddy Guerrero. :)

Not true, my friend. Last week I was slightly miffed at Eddie "killin' my buzz" with his "grr I'm serious now" thing...but there's a very important reason why this week's speechless promo ruled: the crowd ate it up. That's the true test of how excellent he is. He doesn't have to say anything...and he gets HEAT. Now, I'm not sure how much of that was piped Smackdown heat, but if the reaction was anywhere near genuine, then Eddie did a phenomenal job. THAT's why he rules. |
