|  #1 Posted on 27.6.03 0739.45 | Last night I sat down and watched Smackdown with my 5 year old couson and and my 14 year old couson. Both are marks and the older one doesn't watch to much wrestling, but some of the comments I got were:
"John Cena's jersey is cool"
"Ultimate Dragon is my favorite wrestler" Coming from a 5 year old who has never seen him wrestle."
"That's not the same person as before" Refering to Stephane.
"I remember watching him over in North Sydney" My Uncle said it when he walked by.
A couple other things were that none of them knew who Kidman was, the 5 year old loves Mr. America, and the 14 year old thought the whole Mr. MacMahon/Zach Gohawn thing was funny.
Kind of interesting to see what the general fans find entertaining.

| #3 Posted on 28.6.03 0210.16 | I very rarely get to watch wrestling with people who are just joe-average off the street...usually people who come over for PPVs are people who don't follow internet happenings but know just enough to make them "not innocent." The few times I do get to watch it with people who have no idea what's going on it's always fun though.
Of course, the best is when you get fans who have NO IDEA what is going on, but THINK they do. Actual conversation overheard at WWF house show several years ago:
Some Guy: Adam Bomb, didn't he used to be someone else?
His Friend: Yeah, he was Bam Bam Bigelow.

So *now* we know the target demographic the writing team is aiming for. So much for that coveted 18 - 24 demo.
