1) Edge was 'that over' UP here, as well, at San Jose last Saturday. Of course, he was in a 'stinkface' match, and we all know there's nothing fans like better than the prospect and actuality of rubbing one man's face etc.
2) Yes, it looks like Rey pinned Benoit. I was already to hammer this result elsewhere in Wienerville, but as usual, Zim came through with an explanation: Benoit and Angle did about three fourths of the match. With that added info, all of us could choreograph this thing, and I'm sure Rey virtually sneaks in at the end to pin a fatigued/damaged Benoit. And on reflection, how could it be otherwise in Rey's nominal (actual?) hometown?
3) The security guard objected to you TAKING NOTES?? Well, there goes our carefully calculated plan to bring down the San Diego Arena. Without your architectually correct diagrams, no chance. Jesus.
As to how generic that Arena is, I've been to San Diego fifteen or so times-- I couldn't even tell you where the sucker is geographically.
Thanks again for the effort to get a recap from the road up so quickly.
I think you guys might've had a bad childhood, and it's not a not very good adulthood, by the looks of things. --Mick Foley to 'Robot Wars' contestants.
One for you, one for me, one for the Museum of Natural History!
Edge was very over with the 15 year old girls in front of us who wanted to perform an oral act on Edge.
I didn't have any problems with security when I took notes, but I was planning on bringing a tape recorder to do my notes instead. Good thing I didn't because I would ahve lost it at the door.
The Arena is very generic and is toward the west end of Interstate 8 near Mission Bay. It's older than dirt and looks like it will fall over at any time. I'm hoping the WWF will start putting events at Cox Arena on the Campus of San Diego State University. I saw WCW's Bash at the Beach there, and it was an excellent venue for wrestling.
