WWE Cruiserweight champion Paul London pinned Akio.
Smackdown Rey Mysterio comes to the ring and calls out Eddiue Guerrero asking him to explain his actions last week. Guerrero tells Rey he has nothing to say to him. Rey strikes Eddie. Guerrero says that he never hit Rey, and Rey says, "So what?" Eddie walks off as Rey asks him if he's scared Rey is going to beat him.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio is talking to Teddy Long. Chavo Guerrero defends "Uncle Eddie" and they end up in a brawl.
Matt Morgan pinned Rob Eckos, who was not named.
Booker T pinned Orlando Jordan in a non-title match. During the bout, Booker T's wife Sharmell was cheering for him backstage while watching a monitor. Kurt Angle confronted her about Booker costing him a title shot and challenged Booker to a match at the Judgment Day PPV with Sharmell at ringside.
MNM defeated Scotty Too Hotty and Shannon Moore. Rey Mysterio hit the ring with a lead pipe and chased them off.
JBL did an interview in the ring insulting Trenton. John Cena came out and insulted JBL and it ended up with an announcement they would have an I Quit Match at the PPV.
Backstage, Chavo Guerrero was talking to MNM about Rey Mysterio.
Kurt Angle beat someone in a Kurt Angle Open, then called out Booker T. Booker accepts the match for the PPV. Angle says he's going to make Booker tap and called his wife a "guttersl**." Booker hits the ring and brawls with Angle. Sharmell slaps him. Angle low blows Booker and goes after Sharmell, who trips. She runs and trips. Angle tries to slap on the Ankle Lock but the officials stop him.
The Divas are listening to John Cena's new CD. Heidenreich reads a poem about "Bad, Bad Women."
Backstage, Chavo Guerrero promised Eddie Guerrero he was going to take out Rey Mysterio in a Streetfight.

They world premiered John Cena's rap video.
Rey Mysterio pinned Chavo Guerrero in a Street fight. Guerrero and MNM attacked Rey. Eddie Guerrero made the save and ran them off. Eddie and Rey embraced but Guerrero attacked him. Eddie beat Rey bloody and tore his mask, right out of a Lucha angle. He suplexed Rey across the ring steps and left him bloody laying on the floor.
Dark Match WWE champion John Cena and Big Show defeated John Bradshaw Layfield and WWE United States champion Orlando Jordan.
As stated in a previous thread, the Eddie/Rey feud is a really solid angle. I'm glad the heel Eddie is back.
Poor Charlie Haas ... he's stuck in a dark match while his ex-tag team partner is lighting up Mondays.

Hopefully Bush won't decide to give a press conference and preempt half the show like last week.
I don't know what you were watching last week, but there was no pre-emptions on last weeks show for me.
Last week New York City's UPN 9 preempted the first hour of Smackdown for President Bush's Press Conference. They aired the full show on Saturday night, but no one told me so I missed it again. =\

I just hope they don't show too much of Rey with his mask off (e.g. that he's unmasked from now on). Otherwise, sounds like a pretty solid show for a SmackDown.
Wait a second. I know I haven't watched Smackdown in a whil but I thought Chavo was a face last I saw him. He was fueding with Billy Kidman, what became of that and when did Chavo go heel?
Ehh, doesn't look that great on paper to me but we'll see. I like Smackdown and I love the matchups for this next ppv but the problem with Smackdown to me is that you don't want to give away a matchup from your ppv on free tv or nobody will want to see it, so you have to let your guys wrestle other people on the tv shows. Now on Raw this is no problem, they have enough upper carders and main eventers (Batista, Triple H, Benoit, Edge, Jericho, Shelton, Christian, Kane) to swap out different matches each week, and some good low to midcard guys (Regal, Eugene, Tajiri, Hurricane). But on Smackdown the roster is so thin the featured guys have to wrestle guys like Holly and Scotty 2 Hotty. I've said this probably 1,000 times before but I don't see why they don't use Haas. I mean even if you have no storyline or push for him, atleast put him in the ring and give a good match to the guys you want to put over.

I'm not completely sure but I think the only reason for Chavo's heel turn is that London won the Cruiserweight Title in a Battle Royal, so he never actually pinned Chavo, so Chavo is mad and is taking it out on London, with help from Kidman. I think they really just needed a quick reason to turn him heel to stir the pot with Mysterio/Eddie rather than for his own storyline purposes.
Originally posted by PhantomAny takers on how long this heel turn by Eddie is going to last until the fans turn him face again?
Better than last time. I know people like Eddie and they like to cheer for Eddie, but remember last time he turned on TAJIRI. First of all, they had barely tagged, Tajiri was thrown in after Chavo got injured. Eddie and Tajiri had no history, and Tajiri isn't as popular as Rey. Rey is really popular, he's the loveable underdog. And we know Rey and Eddie's looong history. This time Eddie turning on his partner really means something unlike Tajiri. Do I think Eddie will be a heel for a long long time? No. But it should be longer than his last heel turn. At the very least I think he'll be a heel in the match vs. Rey, which is good because if Rey went into that match and ended up getting less cheers then it would make him look awfully bad.

Chavo "turned" heel back during the SD from Japan. He played the heel in his match vs. Akio, and just sorta stayed heel since then.
I'm interested in seeing if we get a Los Guerreros reunion. And if Eddie is going to play the heel, he needs new theme music. The "Viva la Raza" is a little too face-ish.

Give Chavo another Pepe, recruit Cypress Hill and give us a remix of "Insane in the Membrane." Los Locos Guerreros!

I just want a nice subtle remix. Remember Hollywood Heel Rock had that AWESOME uberheel music that was just slightly different than his face music? THAT is how you make a good heel.
Chavo Guerrero has been a heel again since his match with Scotty 2 Hotty on the Velocity before Royal Rumble 2005.

Time to flame the lame... time to flame the lame
It's all about the game, and how you play it I hunger for control, That why I'm with Stephanie It's all about the lame, and Vince has gotta pay me... I am the lame... you don't want to like me... I want control I used to do Joanie... I am Kev's bitch... But people still hate me I am the lame... and Zenk is going to flame me
Eddie/Cena would be a red-hot feud that could carry probably a trio of PPVs....Eddie as he's acting right now would definitely not be cheered against Cena, especially if Cena keeps doing the kind of respect-building intense promos like the one he threw down on JBL tonight.
So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.--- Del Preston
