GREAT show - Edge/Jericho in a cage was good, Brock F5-ing the Hulkster and Mark "353 pounds" Henry was great (considering I don't see RAW and this is my first time watching Lesnar), and Rey Misterio just REEKED OF AWESOMENESS!
Oh, anyone wonder who was in Bischoff's limo?
Yo, it's me, it's me, it's (points to self) P-A-B!
Yeah, Mysterio's debut was great. Even before the match, when he revealed his MANLY back tattoo (if you didn't see, it's a spine and ribcage, outlined). Then the entrance... that was nifty (it'll lose its appeal if overdone, which hopefully once-a-week exposure won't do). Nice wrestling exhibition, too... nice to see he hasn't put on too much... but 175? Not even soaking wet.
Rey's entrance was good, but this is the first time I paid attention to another entrance...
Mizark!
He may be a lug and a slug and have a finisher that's a hug, but you can kind of groove to his entrance music.
I'm just saying.
SHUT UP.

I'm just waiting for the WWF to have a technical glitch where the trapdoor fails to close after they launch Rey through the floor, and he ends up dropping back through it.
Still, though -- damn, that was a hell of an entrance. And a pretty nice match, if a bit more methodical than I was expecting.

I thought it was a great show too. I'm glad to see that the stephanie we have now is straight-hair, not-screeching-every-word steph too. But did you see her strength?! That vase just SHATTERED when it hit the wall. Must have been some shoddy construction. I'd have thought Bischoff could afford better.
having never been a fan of wcw my exposure to Rey Mysterio was nearly nonexistant. I saw more of his stuff in the "HE'S COMING" promos. Needless to say, his introduction to the WWE last night was awesome. That entrance totally rules. I was a little disappointed at how Test manhandled him, but marked out when Rey got his revenge.
And speaking of Test, that John Cena test impression was hilarious IMO. I liked Cena on Manhunt when I didn't know who he was and I'm definitely a fan of him now.
I haven't heard much of Mongoose McQueen's work, but I think I'll be showing my support for the Living Legend, Larger than Life, first ever Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho this tuesday, by picking up his new Fozzy CD.

Not only was it a good entrance, but it was a pretty good match for the big guy too. Surprised the hell out of me as I didn't think he was capable of that.

The WWF did this one right... they built the anticipation, and when Rey came out, the crowd popped. I marked large for Rey's return. It's been a long time since we've seen a cruiserweight match of that caliber. It helped that Chavo and Rey worked together so often previously as well. I would have hated to see Rey go in there with someone who had no idea how he worked a match. Great stuff by the luchadore from my hometown.

Okay, as a poor soul who missed Smackdown!, I'm finding myself curious about Rey's entrance... is this trapdoor/trampoline-y thing on the entrance ramp, or actually in the ring? 'cause if it's in the ring, well... we could have another Davey Boy Smith thing happen.

There aren't a lot of shows to chose from, and it's super high profile. It's not like the same people are voting for both. If we had the 2012 Presidential Election awards, Obama and Romney would have finished in the top two for Best and for Worst.
