Here's my thoughts on the women of Smackdown (who, according to Tazz and Cole, are much better than the women of RAW, remember that!)

The tag match was pretty good. I'm just wondering why we got a show of Trish streching out Linda's leg, and not some kind of video with Ivory getting Jackie ready for her first big match or some kind explanation for why she turned on Linda. I think this would have been much better if done right. HOWEVER, when developing Jackie's character they need to stay away from the totally bitchy, vampy diva girl they did with Trish when she first debuted. That is getting too old and then she *really would* be Trish 2. Just make her like her mentor Ivory- a strong, tough as nails fighter who takes it to you. (Have her occasionally pander to the crowd and show off--after all, we all know she is given to "youthful indescretions".) And I LOVE the idea of her using that leg brace during matches, a la Greg Valentine/Cowboy Bob Orton/etc. I would go CRAZY if she started using the figure four as a finisher and used some kind of modified leg brace for extra pain to her opponent!

In fact that is what Ivory and Jackie need to do--they need to be VICIOUS heels. Don't just get a cheap win over Linda, punisher her. Have Jackie apply her finisher, have Ivory come in after the bell and drop elbows while she's in the figure four, real old-school heel stuff. Give them some monster heel heat so that the face's wins are more dramatic and Linda's losses are more sure. (After all, let's face it, Linda has "supreme JOBBER" written all over her face, and I wouldn't mind one bit if that's what the WWE did with her.)

Speaking of getting good heel heat, I agree that the Nidia character is going very well. It's the kind of stuff that makes you totally HATE her (although not like you hated Stephanie) and want to see her get a major boot to the head from Hurricane. It somewhat reminds me right now of hating Sensational Sherri or Woman in their prime. And again, Nidia's acting is *not* it to Linda, or even Molly who has been in the business for awhile now. For a WWE woman I don't see anything wrong with it, and so far this is turning into a somewhat unique and well-done gimmick.

Lastly, exactaly how much did they pay Dawn Marie last night to stand outside and knock on a door for five seconds? Hopefully less than Stacy who had to endure a sloppy one from Vince. And Stacy was looking very good last night, I must say. I'm just wondering if they are ever going to do anything more with Dawn Marie.

The decline in Molly's acting in recent weeks is coupled to the decline in Molly's storyline. Her acting was perfectly adequate as Mighty Molly, or as Spike's girlfriend, or when she first debuted...

Could YOU recite some of the lines from this virgin-with-a-big-ass storyline on camera and keep a straight face?

Yeah, it is kinda like Vince saying beer swilling is good, then firing someone for beer swilling. But, as someone said, Austin always shows up not drunk for his matches, though he often shows up not caring and not trying.
