A couple things that popped into my head while watching Smackdown.

1. I hope, really, really hope that they give Tajiri vs. Kidman plenty of time at Backlash. I am very excited about what they can do.

2. Thank God Albert shaved his back! He should stil wear pants though.

3. Vince is a dirty old man. Uh, we knew that already. I mean, he's already gone through Trish and Torrie in the past year alone. Stop with the women, please.

4. Who wins the battle of the sideburns? Rico now, or Rock end of 1998?

I didn't really care for Smackdown tonight, but I did enjoy the Jericho and Angle stuff.

Vince the letch was pretty horrid. Plus, the boring segment. Yawn.

Tajiri/Helms was nice.

The fans REALLY wanted to boo Albert, I guess.

Hey, Edge, chanting "You Suck" after every phrase is overly complicated ("What" is one sylable so it perfectly fits speech pauses). Or maybe that's the idea...

Smackdown was pretty eh for me as well.

-Albert needs not just pants...get that boy a shirt while we're at it! Or atleast one of those singlets he used to wear.

-Edge's promo was pretty good until the "You Suck" bit(remined me of Rock trying to do that two part "You're an Asshole" chant.) I'm susprised the crowd didn't turn on him.

-Grrrr, Vince segment Bad!!

-Jericho/Angle art a grand team! Heels Unite!

-Couldn't they have just let Mark Henry lift and move the limo instead of that "pushing against it" bit? I would have looked better, IMO.

-And how could we leave out Lash Leroux in a side burn competition?

For me...Raw's 2-0 so far. Gotta be the Eddie-factor.

The Hurricane match was awesome, much like anything the Hurricane does.

Didn't they tape a Venis/Godfather match? Not that I'm complaining that it didn't air, but still...

Raw is the better show once again.

Get Vince off the damn air. Sure, it was an excuse to see Keibler in his Miss Hancock get-up again, but did we need the whole interview process? If Vince was so hot over her, why didn't he hire her on the spot last week?

JR needs to get on Albert to lose some weight. He looks like Bastien Booger's lost tag team partner.

One thing that stood out to me , or maybe it's just wishful thinking , but it didn't seem like the crowd was popping to much for Hogan at all . Did anyone else notice this ?

I feel sorry for the poor soul who has the job as Albert's back hair shaver. *shudder*

Also on the hair topic, you forgot Jericho's old sideburns.

It seemed to me that Hogan got the loudest pop of the night in his main event "run-in/save."

As for the Vince segment, while it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it still sucked. I have no use for that storyline. I don't agree that Vince shouldn't be on TV though, he should just be a developing cog in storylines (no one can get a big match over like him), not have one of his own.

Tajiri-Hurricane seemed really slow to me. I think it's time to kill the Hurricane gimmick too, I used to think it's funny, now it's stupid and is slowly ruining Helms. I mean look at his hair! He's the Green Rooster.

Jericho is my Smackdown MVP so far. Can't believe I saw him do the C'Mon Baby pose on Hogan. Classic! As much as it would suck to do it 3 days before the PPV, I'm predicting that Jericho gets added to the main event next week. He doesn't have anything else to do and the way he was holding the belt after the show...it just gave me that vibe. Normally this would upset me, but Hogan's better in small wrestling doses and that's what we'd get him in if they do it. Just a thought.

As for Albert, he needs a shirt, pants, and a new job. I have no use for the guy.

And I think you're fat. So how do you like me now?

I thought it was funny as hell when Angle did the "Play my music. Wait! Don't play my music, don't play my music!" bit.

I was hoping that Stacy Keilbers "offer you can't refuse" would be a wrestler she joined forces with who would threaten to kick Vince's ass if he didn't hire here...but nope, it was typical crap instead.

I hope HHH breaks out the sledgehammer on Hogan. I'm sure that would cement him as the heel, and I would get a kick out of it.

After reading some the news over the past week, I was sorta half-heartedly expecting Dawn Marie to walk out from behind the curtain as a interviewee. Vince would start oogling her and Stacy comes out and we have a classic ECW style Cat Fight!

Same with the Scotty 2 Hotty Albert match. After the talk of WWF looking at Grand Masta Sexy again, I thought he might run out to make the save.

Show's how much I know.

Sign you will see at Backlash from the girl going with me..."KURT - PLEASE TAN NUDE". Although that match made the whole show for her and the two other women in the room.

Albert absolutely horrifed everybody in the room. Somebody wondered aloud if that's what Austin will look like when he's wrestling at Hogan's age.

I'm starting to see a pattern between the RAW and SMACKDOWN brands...RAW is the wrestling fan show, and SMACKDOWN is the campy fun show.

Works for me.

The Helms/Tajiri match was nothing special (and I'm a big Helms fan). I just wish they'd let the Cruisers work an actual Cruiserweight style. Sure, they pull out some nice spots, but it always seems to be followed up w/ a rest (usually both guys lying on the mat/ground).

Enough of forcing the WWF Style on the Cruisers. Let them pick up the pace and let them work a nice fast, fluid match.

So this is what we've been reduced to.

They don't just have Stacy break out her old Ms. Hancock outfit, they actually have her reprise the same WCW let-your-hair-down, dance-on-the-desk routine she did FIVE YEARS ago.

Vince has to interview not one, not two, but three people. Because thinks he's just so funny, and this writing is just so darn witty and clever, that we won't SURF TO ANOTHER CHANNEL BECAUSE WE KNOW IT'S GOING TO GO ON FOR ANOTHER FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE THE PAYOFF.

Beyond lame. So bad I actually caught most of "Survivor."

and another thing:

re: the segments with Jericho/Hogan and HHH/Hogan just went on and on and on. Will someone please tell these guys to just HURRY THE F*** UP and say what they have to say already? Damn idiots take forever to get a sentence out.

Taking a long time DOES NOT BUILD UP THE DRAMA!!! sheeesh...

Ok, ok, Kurt! We saw your hiney, it was white & shiny and I never EEEEVER want to see it a-gain!!

I don't know what was the scarier sight. Angle, running around with his ass hanging out for nearly five minutes or Triple H smacking said ass, turning to the ref and grinning like a mule eating briars!

What was up with that anyway? Is there a new "billion dollar booty bounty" or something?

Having much else on my television last night, I didn't watch most of Smackdown!, but what little I did watch was blah.

I turned it on in time for the Hogan-H locker room promo and quickly turned it back off. There was nothing there that got me remotely interested. That's probably not a good sign in how they're building this thing up.

dance-on-the-desk routine she did FIVE YEARS ago.

Technically, it was about 1.5 years ago. But, yeah, your point is still valid.

So Stacy was dressing in suits, letting her hair down, and dancing on desks when she was a senoir in high school? Five years ago was 1997. Stacy is something like 22 or 23 years old. Besides, I think most people ate this up. Sure the skit was a little long, but I bet a lot of people were waiting to see Stacy bust out the suit again when she started propostioning Vince for the job.

I have to wonder if the Angle ass thing was intentional on HHH's part, he didn't seem surprised by it and didn't let Kurt pull em back up...and how could you not notice the draft?

Well, they've certianly established the diffirence between the two "brands", you have to grant them that much.

They missed the boat with Stacy last night - should have had her say in a no nonsense manner - I don't type, I don't take dictation but I do dance - the segment sucked (and was the only segment I saw right after Survivoe ended) but it was still good to see some classic Miss Hancock - she just needed the glasses
