Again, what's the point? You're using one of your top guys to put over a 1-legged sideshow act who will never be seen again. Nobody benefits except Zach, and he's leaving. If you want to show that a cruiser can beat a big guy, you do it w/ a guy who is going to be around and/or be given a push, not a guy leaving the company.

So your saying that no wrestler should ever be allowed to leave the WWE on a high note ?

Someone like a Ric Flair, Mic Foley, or whoever, that is now retiring (not just going to work somewhere else after beating the best the WWE had to offer) and that will cause the fans to cry at them leaving as much as they do when taking the last walk out.

Zach's not QUITE at that point yet.

Oh why, oh why, OH WHY do they feel the need to torture us with a twenty minute interview from Stephanie McMahon? Oh yeah, because Titan Towers thinks that McMahons = Ratings! Well, no offence to the brainiac who created that garbage, but I'll certainly be avoiding that part like the plague.

The saddest part is that if the quarterly ratings come out on the weekend and show a full point drop in that 20 minute span of the show, you do know who's taking the blame for it, right?

Michael Cole.

"Let me see if I understand the stips for the World Title match that is supposedly the main event at the PPV (of course, according to the marketing/promotion, When McMahon's Collide is the main event): Its a Yap-i-pi chain worn by Judy Bagwell on a pole match. Shouldn't they have learned from WCW that when the company doesn't understand what the stipulations of a match are, the fans won't bother wasting there time figuring out the stips or watching the match."

The stips seem pretty clear to me. Your standard "X on a pole" match. Why the need to bring up WCW's horrendous past record?

Excuse me one second here, but isn't Shelton Benjamin only JUST back? I've been monitoring the house show reports, and I think he's only had the one match on those before the SmackDown dark match. Therefore, I think it's probably a good thing - on the show RIGHT before a PPV, remember - not to reintroduce the Self-Proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team and muddy things up. Especially when they couldn't do anything to the current tag champs, one of whom is getting beaten up by The Big Show.

This isn't saying it's a good thing to have a 20min Stephanie McMahon interview, though...

I had actually forgotten that, but now you've reminded me. Thanks a bunch! Some one just earned a 1 on their instant rating. :P

At least have them on the show ... I mean they are arguably the top team in all the WWE right now ... have them cut a vignette or something ...

I'm in agreement with UncleBob here. Benjamin was injured, so why put them on tv if the match might suck? Especially right before the PPV. That way people won't be saying, "Wait a minute. The World's Greatest Tag Team gets to wrestle on the Smackdown right before the PPV, but they don't actually have a spot on the card? What the hell?"

Let them rest, recover, and get back into the flow of things before you put 'em out there.

Here's what I don't understand. Last week on Velocity, Matt Hardy V.1 told Shannon "All that and" Moore that he had a present for him that would be presented on Smackdown. I don't see anything about Hardy on Smackdown, only a match on Velocity. Methinks that the Stephanie interview left no time for anything V.1 related (although now those bitching about Hardy not having a match at a PPV can keep quiet).

Molly, Stacy and Daffney all in WWE? I suddenly lost all my will to complain about anything regarding the WWE. Hope I don't lose my street cred for this.

Bringing in Zach Gowen when they did was a mistake. He could have a real career - after he gains some muscle, trains in technical wrestling a few years, and gives his character some depth. Bringing him in now shows that they are playing him as a novelty.

I have immense admiration for Zach. I don't want the fans to turn on him. I don't want his career to just be 15 minutes in the sun. But he needs more substance.

Speaking of "moore," props to Shannon for carrying Zach so well in their last match. He actually mage Gowen's weird offense look like a threat.

Can we bitch about him having to face the Human Pogo Stick, rather than having matches to advance him up the card?

All the training & character depth won't mean anything. He'll still be "the guy with 1 leg". It'll be pretty hard to get the fans to look past that, and it'll be pretty hard to make him look credible while he's hopping around the ring.

I'm just going by the spoilers, but it says the chain will be suspended above the ring. Now, will it be placed on a pole, will it be suspended above the ring like a title belt is in a ladder match, or is it a magically levitating chain?
I brought up WCW's record because Taker finding a chain as his new best friend is reminiscent of Hogan finding the mystical powers of the Yap-i-pi strap.

Matt gives Shannon his present in a backstage segment.

Steph's interview lasted 9 min. & 50 sec. Vince interview segment lasted 7 min. & 20 sec. So that's 17+ minutes of McMahons talking in the 1st hour.

(a guy on another board gets the satellite feed that gets fed to the UPN affiliates, so he gets to see the show Wed. night)

Maybe Zach should go "monkey style" and roll and crawl allot? lol.

I think the McArmy is just testing to see if it's still "cool". The fans that attend the shows seem to think they are....GLad to hear some steph booing finally...I think she should never speak or wrestle...just kinda stand to the side and jiggle a little bit, and "give people jobs" on tv. Sorry about the kingish jiggle comment..but hey its true!

My dream episode of smackdown(will never happen) is the episode where the cruiserweights(not mysterio or V1) flip out and start attacking Brock...GO Tonya Harding style if need be.

Sounds like ok show maybe..Minimal shit is good...No shit is really good.
