I see that JBL finially admitted to being behind the screwing over of Edge two weeks ago during Edge's match with Rey.
(From the "BYTE THIS" review on PWTorch.com)
>Todd brings us to a few weeks back when JBL’s music went off during Edge’s match on Raw and JBL swore he had nothing to do with it. Who did it then, Grisham asks. “I did. I lied,” JBL replies. “It’s that simple. I lied. I did it, I make no bones about it, that’s the way you do things in business. It was to my advantage to keep that held in my secrecy for a while and I did it. Make no bones about it. I’m the one that set up Edge with Rey Mysterio.<

Originally posted by SOKI hate WWE booking sometimes...I loved the JBL/Rey invasion on Raw, and what does RAW do to fight back? By not showing up? Come on...
Yes, I know that Edge and Masters invaded first last week, but still...they could shown up this week on SD to add fuel to the fire.
My money's on JBL/Rey to face off against Edge/Masters at TT.

Not showing up sends a much more sophisticated message. It says, "We are so confident that we are better than Smackdown! that we're not going to worry about them before the PPV." It's actually a nice little touch. It's one of the few times WWE has actually made a point without hammering it over our heads.
The Triple Threat match trope of two people in at all times while the third is incapacitated makes sense when you think about them having it easier to call spots with two voices instead of three. Or else you'd probably hear a lot of... Charlotte:
