Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire come to the ring for Piper's Pit. Mr. America comes to the ring after a short tyrade by Piper. Piper sends O'Haire out to take an American flag from a fan at ringside. Piper attacks Mr. America from behind. O'Haire re-enters the ring and he and Piper double team Mr. America. Piper tries to take the mask off but the fan from ringside jumps in the ring and hits Piper with the flag. O'Haire attacks the fan. Security and Piper have a tug of war with the fan and Piper pulls the prostetic leg off the fan. O'Haire and Piper leave the ring in disbelief. Mr. America helps the one legged fan to his feet foot and hobbles to the back.
A one-legged fan? Could this be Tenatious Z? An odd way to bring the guy in. Kind of reminds me of how they brought in Hillbilly Jim, as a fan of Hulk Hogan.

| #3 Posted on 14.5.03 1004.40 | Yeah, I read that as well. Leaves me with 2 questions.
1. I alwalys assumed that they would debut him in the white boy challenge and have him fluke a win over Rodney Mack. This no longer being the case, where are they going with the white boy thing?
2. What do you do with Tenacious Z once its ervealed hes a wrestler? You cant put him over anyone clean without the other guy looking like a chump, and if you just use him as a jobber, people will surely stop caring once the novelty wears off.

| #4 Posted on 14.5.03 1054.43 | From what I've read, the kid is a spot machine. I'd be interested to see how much he's got.
I would have liked to see him beat Mack too, but I would suggest that they didn't have a definitive plan in place for an end to the white boy challenge. I know that they wanted D'Lo and Long to be found out as being wealthy and just playing things up. Who knows if that's the plan here, but what does it accomplish?
But hey, at least Long's getting to cut promos. :-)

Also, it doesn't look Brock Lesnar has any mic time, so that means no Brockisms.

| #7 Posted on 14.5.03 1415.17 | I see this as a major PR coup for the WWE... if they do it right. Have him appear on talk-shows, do mainstream media interviews, etc., right before Z's first PPV match. I'm pulling for this one, I hope they do it right.

| #8 Posted on 14.5.03 2030.35 | I had a stray thought on the way home from work today.
If they're going to rehash the whole Andre the Giant/Giant Machine angle, then when Vince orders a Hulk Hogan/Mr. America tag match, then I expect we may see Tenacious under the mask.
The spoilers mention the two of them going back up the aisle together. Of course, that level of foreshadowing is probably beyond the current creative team... | CRZ

Why exactly did you assume that, anyway? I never saw anybody mention it except in "they should do THIS" fantasy booking posts and it wasn't THAT great an idea to begin with.

Dunno to be honest. I figured having Mack beat up on 'the one legged guy' for a while would have been a way of trying to get cheap heat, and having Tenacious Z ultimately fluke the win at either the first or second time of asking would have ended one storyline and introduced a new wrestler at the same time.
I'm sure I'd originally read it from somewhere relatively reputable, but given that I'm currently meant to be finalising a bibliography for my dissertation I should probably know to use slightly better sources for the basis of my theories ;)
