Im sorry but I find all the McMahons, except Linda, entertaining when used right. Vince might have become very stale, but he took a brake and know I think he should return. He could manage Kane in his feud with Taker.

This Smackdown has a very weak undercard except for the Mysterio. The Rumble looks ok but did anyone really think anyone besides Gurrero was going to win? Everyone knows Gurrero is going to N.W.O for a title shot.

    No Way Out:

    WORLD TITLE:
    Eddie Gurrero vs. Brock Lesnar

    U.S. TITLE:
    John Cena vs. Big Show

    CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE:
    Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Gurrero

    Kurt Angle vs. Hardcore Holly

(This card is already shaping up to be pretty weak. RAW is such the better show.)

Angle vs. Holly? I'd wager (or at least *hopehopehope*) that doesn't happen.

I'm quite the opposite - I find SD *so* much more enjoyable than Raw, maybe because there's a ton more guys on SD than Raw that I care about. I don't think I could name more than 7 or so guys on Raw that I care about.

And what surprises happen on Raw? I'll give you Benoit on Monday, but other than that, I can't remember the last time I was surprised by Raw. I'm not seeing this supposed "energy" of Raw. I find myself regularly losing interest in Raw 1/2 way through the show, whereas I'll rarely turn away from SD.

So, is it possible that Eddie could actually win at No Way Out? Lesnar caused Goldberg to lose the rumble, so Goldberg returns the favor at NWO costing Lesnar the belt. Then, have Lesnar vs Goldberg and Eddie vs Angle at WMXX. It doesn't seem all that far fetched...

"Suprises hardly ever happen on this show."

This COULD be because you already know what happens two days earlier.

"The Rumble looks ok but did anyone really think anyone besides Gurrero was going to win? Everyone knows Gurrero is going to N.W.O for a title shot."

Everyone except ... practically everyone? Unless they hand out the Torch when you enter the Metro or something.

"This card is already shaping up to be pretty weak."

Eddie/Brock and Rey/Chavo is certainly a bad start(?). I don't know who Angle would pair off with but I doubt it will be Bob Holly.

Also, you kind of wonder if maybe, just maybe, since Brock made fun of Goldberg for losing his belt and cost him an important match, maybe Goldberg will retaliate by costing Brock an important match like the one with Eddie, and then ... no I dare not say.

"RAW is such the better show."

Raw was great on Monday and has the important Mania programs right now, but you do remember the card of their show in December, right?

"I think the Bashams have it in them to be a good brawling team"

The Bashams are really good workers! Just so generic, b/c neither has ever spoken except when Danny called Shaniqua the source of his orgasmic power. Supposedly they were both really good promos in OVW too.

Nevertheless, there's no good reason for them to have had the belts for the last 3 months instead of H&B.

Gotta agree. I usually tape RAW and watch it later only to discover that I've fastforward over a good 80% of each episode. Half the show tends to be either Austin or HHH ranting about themselves once again, mixed in with unproductive storylines that crashland before coming to any type of a conclusion, or watching good wrestlers be stalled in midcard follies that do not push anyone.

Meanwhile, SD has a lot of wrestlers I like, having a chance to perform good matches in decent (if not great) storylines that usually payoff with some type of progression for the people involved. I've always saved what I thought were the best matches of the two shows on tape. I've saved maybe 45 minues of RAW in the past six months, while I have gone with several tapes of SD in that same time.

Just a different of opinion, I know, but I have the same curiousity about RAW fans as I'm sure they do about my liking SD.

As more of a Raw fan myself I think my love for the show stems from the fact it's live. I don't get to see Smackdown until Saturday night at around midnight, in which I know what's going to happen, their's no element of surprise to me, that and I'm not going to boycott the spoiler threads and such for 3 days till the show starts. That and I'm a big Kane mark(surely not the best wrestler in the world, not saying he is but I'm just a fan, he entertains me.)

As Matt Hawking would say..

"This show needs more Kane" :)

It's going to be nice to see Nidia sans glasses again. Does this mean she's finished with Noble? I swear, their partnership on WWE programming was the only consistant pairing they've had in a LONG time.

I, too, am stoked about Noble and Mysterio going almost ten minutes. They should have had that on Sunday.

Smackdown is really in need of a new babyface tag team. They hype the return of two babyfaces over the past few months. Mr A** Billy Gunn/ Sparkplug Bob Holly...The Buttplugs! Seriously, you know Vince would at least push that!

No, maybe it had to do with the fact that I saw a WWE commercial yesterday saying Eddie would face Brock Lesnar for the title at No Way Out with the "Clown Prince of Boxing" in his corner.

Buff Bagwell and Berlyn (Alex Wright) were supposed to wrestle at Fall Brawl 1999. At the last minute, it was changed to Berlyn v. Jim Duggan. Unfortunatley, that match (ie: Duggan)
