I just had my first title reign come to an end. I got screwed out of my title in the 6-man Hell In The Cell match at Armageddon, when Brock pinned Austin to steal the title away from me.

I'm definitely loving this game so far. The one complaint I have is that RAW guys keep challenging me on Smackdown and vice-versa. Brock (a RAW guy) had been challenging me on Smackdown ever since I first exchanged shots with Flair. Meanwhile, Booker T has been teaming with me on a regular basis.

Was anyone able to coax a RAW guy into jumping to Smackdown? I tried to get Benoit to do it, but he punked me out instead.

i am the hurricane and made the "hurri-Kane" tag team and i'm in may of the first year. after the inssurxion ppv, kane has been hanging out with the big show back stage. i had beaten show 2 straight raws in a row. and kane's been complaining alot about how he's carring tag matches...um no. i've never had to tag him in in both the tag matches we've had...

i have them doing the x-pac and big show nWo entrance and it's pretty amusing.

i'm euro champ after beating regal at the ppv, lost my cruiserweight belt at backlash the 1st ppv.

taker is the undisputed champ AND IC champ after beating RDV at backlash, and at insurrecxion, kane and matt hardy took the tag titles.

so in our tag matches, it's pretty cool to see the hurri-kane with their titles, something the last SD was lacking...

Spent two hours or so making my CAW....and I know for a fact once my friend and I unlock the stuff hidden I'll be going back to work on it again. After playing a couple of exibition matches with Booker T and Chris Beniot, I can definitly call this an AWESOME game.

I got Kane to jump from SD! to Raw.

And then he took my spot in the Survivor Series.

Big red bastard.

The only thing I don't like is the graphics -- they REALLY need to update that engine.

That, and there needs to be a better way to get Stacy Keibler back as my manager.

Other cool things:

- They finally have a Hell In The Cell that looks like HITC is supposed to, with space around the ring. It's still a bit too easy to get outside, though.

- Slamming people into the ringpost is fun. As is beating their heads into the exposed turnbuckle.

- Chairshots are now devastating, and the ref will DQ you instantly if he sees you do it. Which brings me to...

- ...REF BUMPS! No more getting DQed if you punch the ref twice. Instead, knock the ref out as often as you want. Then pull a chair out from under the ring and destroy your opponent with it. The only thing I can't really figure out is how to revive him when I'm finished with the chair. And the ref goes down REALLY easily. I've actually knocked him out just by running past him too fast. It's just like real life!

- For some reason, pre-made model #2 looks EXACTLY like Jamie Noble.

- I really need to make a Heyman CAW. Anyone know how to designate characters as Managers for season mode?

Not sure if anyone is aware of this little fact yet, but it's a pretty cool one for you CAW makers. This is a simple and neat way that THQ put into the game to make CAW faces for people not already in the game. The way this works is simply choose all of the same number for every feature of the face and you'll get the corresponding wrestler. For example, for D'Lo select eyes 2, eyebrows 2, cheek 2, face edit/morph 2, mustache 2, etc. and you'll get D'Lo's face and so on. It works for the most part, too! This list is from GameFAQs, and while most of them seem correct (I went through them all the other night) I wasn't sure about some other ones. But here's their "official" list:

2: D-lo Brown
3: Bull Buchanon
4: Boss Man
5: Chavo Guerrero
6: Funaki
7: Scott Hall
8: Justin Credible
9: David Beckham
10: Earl Hebner
11: Mick Foley
12: Taka
13: Dean Malenko
14: Road Dogg
15: Ken Shamrock
16: Tommy Dreamer
17: Essa Rios
18: Saturn
19: The Godfather
20: Stevie Richards
21: Curt Hennig
22: Brian Lawler
23: Crash Holly
24: Harry Potter
25: Goldberg
26: Bret Hart
27: Andre the Giant
28: Steve Blackman

EDIT: Oh, Phantom, to "revive" the ref after beating him down, just pick him up into a front grapple then smack him. That usually brings him back.

Phantom, the first three premade are Cena, Noble and Nowinski, or they're supposed to be. Noble came out right, but Nowinski's hair is doing a thing. CHeck the H on the tights tho.

The fourth is the worst-ever Paul Heyman. I mean, I made an infinitely better one in about five minutes.

I also convinced Kane to jump to Smackdown, which, for whatever reason *really* pissed Chris Jericho off. Of course, on the next show, Molly Holly (of all people) seduced me and convinced me to jump ship to RAW. If it was anyone else, I'd have held my ground, but I couldn't disappoint my fellow Wieners like that.

(potential spoilers ahead)

Alright, I'm confused: do seasons ever end? I was under the assumption that there was an end at some point; however, after going through a full year undefeated with Kurt Angle, beating out Hogan at Wrestlemania, and having things go relatively back to normal afterwards, I'm not so sure. Brock Lesnar won the #1 contender's spot; I defeated him at the next PPV. At the point at which I came out to the ring with the option of trash-talking the KotR competitors again, I exited. Thus, I turn to the guidance of the almighty Wienerville council: is there some point at which it says "joy, you won, congrats, now do it again"?

Keep going. Something new's about to happen after Vengeance, but I don't want to spoil it. But, yeah, those two or three months are kinda a repeat of the first year.

It's my understanding that season mode lasts two years, but I'm only up to Unforgiven of 2003, so I'm not sure yet.

Ok, I know i'm kind of late to this topic but i just rented this game and played it for the past week non-stop so I thought I'd post some thoughts.

The season DOES end after two years (the second Wrestlemania).

Things I like...
- First of all one of the original entances is the best ring entrance EVAR! You come out riding a shopping cart, and you start to pick up speed and can't stop. So then you crash into the ring and your wrestler flies out of the shopping cart and back towards the ramp. There's also a tag team entrance that is the same, only your tag team partner will go flying over the ring and land on the other side!
- MOST of the time (usually the exceptions being The Rock and UT), I won after executing my finisher, which is realistic, people only kick out of finishers occassionally.
- Storylines are good, story mode as a whole is 100 times better. Lots of different choices and directions to go. A lot of wrestlers to talk to in the hallways and locker room.
- I made two CAWs of me and my friend and made us a tag team, then when I played a season and asked for a shot at the tag titles, I was given my actual partner as my partner! Woohoo!
- You can climb on the Smackdown! fist! I remember at one point Super Kicking someone off of it! Then trying a Frog Splash from the fist! I missed though!
- Probably the best double team move EVAR! I had Muta's moveset as one of my CAW's. My tag team partner is locked up with the opponent so i come over and hit the grapple button to do a double team move. My partner gets down on hands and knees ala the Hardy Boys, and I run jump off his back and do a Shining Wizard to the standing opponent!
- Favorite Moment in story mode: Molly Holly gives me a Valentines day present! - You can play or interfere the other matches of the card so other wrestlers you like can get their ratings up, or if you just want to wrestle as someone new for a match.
- You can enter all your CAWs into the season mode and not only will they have matches but I actually met one of my other CAWs in the hallway once!

Things I didn't like. Not a whole lot of complaints but a few little things.
- I think the backstage areas are GREAT, but the exploding car IS a little too much.
- I don't like how i can jump kick someone and at the same time they'll punch me and i'll just magically be back to my standing position.
- No permanent valets. I've had Ivory, and Molly come out with me for one match before. And I had Torrie come out with me for an entire month. But I don't think anyone stays as your valet forever.
- Only three matches on a card? If there was like 7 matches on a card and I could play all of them, that would be more fun to me. I mean i love doing a season and all, but playing like 100 matches in a row with the exact same moves can get tiring.
- D-Von never goes away! For the most part I will see someone once, maybe twice, and rarely three times in one season. But i've seen D-Von now like 30 times this season.
- Worst moment in season mode: Jazz gives me a Valentines Day present
I have screen captures on my comptuer, so I might post a link with some pictures of certain moves, wrestlers, CAWs later.

I just finished my season, winning the title I think 4 times overall and keeping it when the game ends.

One thing I didn't like is that if you have multiple belts, you occasionally have to fight multiple times on a PPV, which is kinda dopey.

I tried to go pretty linear with things (since I'm only renting the game) and I didn't do nearly as much as wacky exploring as I could have.

My favorite kitschy thing in the game may be Billy giving Chuck a Valentine's Day present. That's too rich.

This game certainly rules, but, as great as it is, there are a few negatives:

1. No blood. C'mon, why do Playstation wrestling games have no blood? I WANT BLOOD!!!

2. The manager should walk to the ring with the wrestlers, not just be a byline. There should be a generic manager entrance with the wrestler as not to make the process too complicated.

3. I wish you can edit a pre-existing superstar besides only the moves.

4. How about booing when a heel comes in? The game should automatically adjust the wrestler's status according to the current storyline (ex. If he's with Vince McMahon, he gets booed, even if he's The Rock.)

Just finished the game. GREAT ending credits scene. It shows a lot of stuff I missed in season mode.

2 year season mode? sigh

i was hoping after that crappy 4 match season mode last year, they'd go back to having an unlimited season, ala SD!2

Well if all you want in a season is to play matches, then you can start over a new season and all the rankings of the players will be saved from the previous season.

But if you want good storylines in your season mode, then it's kind of hard to make an infinite season mode, with new storylines constantly.

This is the BEST GAME EVAR. At Backlash Trish Stratus managed me against Chris Jericho with Molly Holly.

Oh no! Booker T has a new victim!

Has anyone faced an opponent who had a special already as the match started? (Either that, or he got it VERY early, within the first 15 seconds) I know I had turned down the advice of Mr. Lawler before the match, and I was wondering if that was why.

I agree. I like that it's only 2 seasons, although a 3rd season with Eric Bischoff would've been a plus. If you go on any longer, it'll get stale. Besides, do you really want to use the same character for more than that?

One time I had a 3 Stages of Hell match against Angle. I believe it was at my second Wrestlemania, so it was my finale match. Anyway, he started the first match with one Smackdown special move. So he used it but didn't beat me because i guess i wasn't weak enough. So i got my bar up all the way but didn't use. So i pinned him in the first round. So i figured second round I'd be the one with the special move already. But instead it reset, he got another special to start the match and I got mine taken away Oh well, I still beat him in two straight pins.

I think there was also a tag team match I had against the champions Lance and Christian, and Lance started with one. I don't think i did anything wrong to make it do that, that there's just some matches that starts that way so it's harder, but i'm not sure.

And i like the two seasons too, I don't think i could go longer with one guy. That's why I often play the matches before mine to get to be someone else every once in awhile. Especially if another one of my created wrestlers is in a match.
