Here we go again... The Matches: Rey Rey v Crazy Cousin Nunzio v Billy K v Jamie Hick: This was a promising start to the show...I like this combination of people, too...Match was kicking throughout, but the random cutaway scene with Eddie should've been a separate segment, and what the FUCK was the deal with the non-ending? Retarded booking aside, good match, so we'll go **3/4. Dancing Fools v APA in a non-title match: Entertaining while it lasted, surprisingly...I'm hoping that the Basham appearance will actually lead to something, because otherwise it seemed pointless...By the way, why is the World's Greatest Tag Team NOT on my TV screen?...The Clothesline from Hell was really STIFF, which is not all bad. ** Unhappy Unfun Brock v Billy Gunn: This was 8 minutes long. Should've been 80 seconds long and I would've been more satisfied...with that said, this wasn't too bad either, but dull. *3/4 White Boy Rapper/Rey Rey v Big Slow/El Guerrero #2: MAJOR heel heat for Chavito gives me pleasure to hear...Solid tag action, everyone played their part nicely, however, Rey's worked-over leg magically healed in the latter part of the match, something that irritates me more than it should...Big Show was actually solid in his work too, and that bit about him dragging Chavito all the way back into the corner, then making a big show of holding the tag rope and making the tag was great...Midcard violence at its finest...***
The Angles: Eddie Guerrero, World Champion: OOh, I like to type that. Also the whole "you're a disgraceful champ" bit from Heyman is good, because you now have a clear face/heel match at WM. Eddie's promo was full of fire as usual, but the payoff a bit lame with the arrest and what not. ***1/4 Brock Talks!: Um, Ok. Fire Josh Matthews at this very instant. You know, if he was really as pissed as he sounded, he should've squashed Billy Gunn in like a minute. ** Tory and Sable: Commercials would have been better, at least you don't feel compelled to pay attention. You know, John Cena can only be funny 60% of the time. This was not one of those. -*** Evil Angle: *bowing down* Kurt is in full-out dick mode today. He beat Eddie for OUR good. See, kids, there is such a thing as a REAL hero. "I will rid of the Eddie Guerreros of the world, and make it a better place." Nice. Eddie attacks and gets arrested and Angle achieves Bret Hart levels with his verbal raping of Eddie all the way to the cop car. Heyman's screaming is actually pretty effective, too. Way to build up a new heel. ****1/2
The Show: Impressive, although the booking of the cruiserweight match pissed me off royally. The rest of the matches were inoffensive, but Kurt Angle decided to carry the show on his shoulders tonight, and he did a damn fine job of it. Overall enjoyable affair. ***
So TNA officials are no longer denying being turfed from Destination America and are telling talents that the overseas TV deals money will keep them afloat before they get a new TV deal in this country.
