Went to Smackdown at MSG last night. The E got my money 100% because I had never seen the Undertaker's entrance. Couple notes:
The crowd has no idea what to do with Bayley. I think she's an awesome heel personally & is really fun to watch do her "heeling as a babyface" thing on TV, but live this confusion just kind of leads to no heat. I was also mad I didn't get a full Ember Moon entrance.
Nobody ate the pancakes Kofi threw out into the crowd, which I will confess to being way too curious about. Are they not real pancakes? Does anyone know?
A lot of "This is Boring" and "CM Punk" chants during Gable/Shane, which started hot but lost steam quickly. I hope the announcers told the story of whatever Owens was doing in there better than the match did, because it was pretty confusing live.
The crowd spent the entire main event (6-man tag match) of 205 Live chanting for a cute baby in the crowd. We're talking probably 30 minutes+ of multiple and continual chants (chant would happen, dad would lift up baby, big cheer. Repeat with different chant at 2 minute intervals). It got to the point where the wrestlers (Gulak mostly) had to acknowledge it to get any attention on themselves. I don't know if it made the edit, but if you watch 205 Live & think "what is that weird spot supposed to be about" that's your answer.
Missed the dark match at the beginning, but caught that Ali beat somebody. Dark match at the end was the B-team vs. the Fiend. As with most Dark Matches the entrance was 90% of it, but they filmed the entrance for some reason so we got the cameramen blocking a lot of it. The fanboy in me was hoping they'd throw in another Taker spot on this, but the 30-year-smark (remember that term?)in me knew there was zero chance Taker was sticking around for three hours to do a dark spot, so I wasn't disappointed.
