You know, this is the seventh time he's come up presumed dead and missing, and not once...no one who has ever "killed" the Undertaker only to find him missing ever proclaimed "The evil...is GONE!!!"

They missed the boat on a good semi-recurring catchphrase there.

I like how you say that Carlito Cool sucks even though he hasn't even wrestled a match yet (on tv, that is).

I dig the character thus far.

I'm digging Carlito so far as well. I know it's just a rip-off of the Razor Ramon vignettes, but does that mean that I have to love them any less?

I haven't heard glowing reviews of his in-ring work from people who have seen him. However, I'll wait to pass judgment on him until after I see him for a few weeks. However, at least they seem to be serious about the guy, after WWE introduced several characters via vignettes, and then did nothing with them.

Ok I should have been more clear. The last time someone won a title on their first night when the belt was worth a damn was Christian.

Jerry Lynn winning the title was nice, but it did nothing for the belt.

And the women's belt...that hasnt been a title since the days of Alundra Blayze.

Right now Scott Hall has to be thinking how come they never did that with me.

Wasnt it at least 6 months before Razor won the IC Title?

You've got some funny ideas about belt worthiness there. This looks more like a "retroactive qualification of what I said to make me look right" argument, so I won't bother

Scott Hall was probably happier with his immediate top of the card push ("caused Savage to lose WWF Championship" angle, participated in the sub-main of Survivor Series 1992 tagging with Flair against Savage and Perfect, participated in the sub-main of Royal Rumble 1992 getting a WWF Championship title shot against Hart) - he won the IC title after the RAW battle royal and subsequent match with Rick Martel just about a year after his debut.

It was about a year. He debuted in fall of '92 and won the belt in fall of '93.

Then again, he was in the main event of his first two PPVs, one of which wrestling for the WWF Title. That's a pretty big feat, especially in the days of 4 PPVs a year.

I look at CCC as a guy who can easily play both heel and face, which you just can't easily say about most of the recent additions to the WWE's roster. He just oozes that natural charisma.

Dinsmore might emerge as one who can play both sides once the Eugene character runs its course. Other than that... *shrugs* You never know, but Reigns, Tomko, Suzuki, and Heidenriech just don't seem the "face" type, unless it's for a brief comedic run.

I like Cool's promo's and SD sounds like a good show on paper again this week. I've been enjoying it alot lately - Dawn Marie not on this week though but she was so great on talking last week. I hope she gets tow free weeks without Jackie to be ba bad girl with Haas. Give Carlito some time and he might be good and perhaps in a month or two Cena can finally get the WWE Title.

I ran, I ran so far away 'cos I want you to want me and I was angry when I met you, you stupid girl

Jerry Lynn wasn't REALLY a rookie, was he? It was just his DEBUT in WWE.

None of the other ones are REALLY rookies, either, certainly not Christian or Carlito. Maybe Gail Kim, kinda.

I guess not, but none of the others had really wrestled in the "Major Leagues" like Lynn had with ECW and WCW.

I've totally hated Smackdown, for the most part, for the last year or so. CCC is a pretty sweet character and my new favorite SD "Superstar".

Everything clicks, from the music to the 'fro to the attitude. The whole "strap the belt on me, ref" thing did it for me. Shades of the cartoonish heels of the late '80s that made me a wrestling fan to begin with.

I hope they improve his tights, but thats about it.

Not usually a fan of hotshotting title wins on debuts, but, for some reason, it works for him. I really hope they don't fuck this up by turning him face EVER.

Does anyone else see CCC in Bartolo Colon, the starting pitcher for the Angels? I do.

Carly Colon? Son of Carlos? If I'm remembering what I've read correctly he was being given the "preferential son" treatment in the WWC in Puerto Rico despite not being particularly good in the ring. I don't remember seeing any good reviews about his OVW stint either...but he's certainly been around....

All of this shit is moot.

No one will ever make an impact as a true "rookie", that is, with no ring experience outside of WWE TV.

An arguement can be made for Kurt Angle, I suppose...

In my eyes (and everyone else who doesn't know about OVW, which is 95% of the audience), CCC is a "rookie".

Compare this to Major League Baseball. Your first year in the big-leagues is your "rookie year", regardless of past accomplishments. Call it egocentrism, call it ignorance, but it is what it is.

Maybe I didn't make the point I was trying to.

My point was, if one doesn't call Jerry Lynn a rookie, it's tough to call a veteran like Carly Colon a rookie. I wasn't referring to anything you had posted. I'm certainly not expert enough to compare his looks to Major League Baseball players'.
