Gone for over a year now, it appears Smackdown won't be returning to Mound City anytime soon. KPLR-11, who ditched it last year for who knows what reason (even though they made their name on the legendary Wrestling at the Chase) said earlier this year they would LMA WHSL-46, the Home Shopping Channel, placing UPN progamming on it since they've no room on KPLR thanks to the WB shows (GILMORE GIRLS~!)
Apparently, KPLR feels that "UPN" means Buffy, Enterprise, and nothing else, because tonight WHSL has those two programs on, and there's no sign of Smackdown on either it or KPLR.
I emailed them to bitch (whatson@wb11tv.com) and enourage others in the Gateway area to do so as well; I can't put up with anymore Raw while being denied ****1/2 matches on free TV.
(Yes, of course there's the DirecTV option, but that shouldn't have to be.)
DirecTV option? Maybe I'm missing something. I've got DirecTV and live in St. Louis, but as far as I can tell, I don't get any station that shows Smackdown. The network channels I get are actually the exact same as you, 2, 4, 5, 11, and 30. They're broadcast to the dish, but they're still the same local channels I could get with cable or an antenna.
You should be able to get a UPN station via DirecTV. I got one with Dish Network, even though I live in Florida and it's not a local UPN, I specifically requested it and they gave me the NYC UPN.
As soon as you're born you start dying, so you might as well have a good time.
I'd thought of that, getting local channels from another city. But according to DirecTV they can only give the "local" channels to people that are actually local. So, for example, I can't get the Orlando stations here in St. Louis.
I know very little about this process, but it seems to me that if you're willing to pay for another UPN station through DirecTV or Dish Network, they'll be more than happy to supply it. I'd check out Dish Network based on what Ana said, though-- seems Dish Network does it, while DirecTV doesn't.

Yeah, sounds like a good show this week. But look, if Vince has business with Kane, then he should just try on be on the show that Kane's on, instead of both just because he owns the place. Whatever.
