A-Train has been good the last couple of weeks. His match with Benoit might have been largely Benoit, although Albert did do some good power moves. But I don't think that Lesnar is that great to completely carry Albert so I think you have to give him credit for a good match.
I'm surprised more people haven't said anything about Crash being a MFer in training. This has tons of potential because of Crash's humorous character. I can just picture Matt (or even Shannon) bossing Crash around and Crash getting his pouty face on.
Also, I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying the F.B.I.
Originally posted by CANADIAN BULLDOGIs it just me, or is this whole `Happy Brock' gimmick ruining his character as of late?
I mean, it was fine when he came out all smiles during his first post-Mania SmackDown. He won the title, escaped a career-threating injury, etc. Then the next week, exact same thing, and even last night.
Brock got over, in part at least, because he was billed as a monster who rarely talked (Paul Heyman's also a big part of that, but that's another story for another day). These days he comes out with that shit-eating grin on his face and I'm thinking he doesn't look nearly as menacing.
I think he's happy because he's finally made it as a WWE superstar. No, I don't mean because he won the championship. It's because he's got pyro in his entrance now! Brock is big time now.
I too have been impressed with A-Train lately. He's been in some decent matches. There is hope for this one yet.

The Happy Dance is totally over with me, I like that Trish has been spotted by cameras doing the Happy Dance (without the big Happy Smile), she even said in a recent interview one of her prematch rituals is bouncing up and down (Happy Dance!)... Favorite Brock Happy Dance had to be the beginning of his SumemrSlam match with Rock. Brock was in the ring first bouncing Rock comes out on the aisle spots Brock bouncing and he starts doing too, camera pans back to Brock with this Big Happy Smile with the Happy Dance in full effect and then Rock sprints to the ring and IT'S ON!!. There's something oddly unsettling with such a freakish big man bouncing with a big smile
-Cena vs. Rhyno - The match was great but the ending spot was weak or mistimed.
-Benoit vs. Nunzio - Good enough match. Is this setting up Taker/Benoit/Jones vs. FBI in the future?
-Mysterio vs. Crash - Personally the most interesting thing about this match was looking at Matt just hours after his brother got officially fired.
-Rikishi vs. Piper- Did they just admit that e-mail that came from Piper site was real and not a hacker job when Cole said Piper's been outspoken about the stinkface or did Piper actually mention that on camera?. I was kind of hoping that Piper would get a face full of ass.
-bikini stuff- Oh no Goldberg get whacked with a chair on Monday and stayed down (well atleast for a second or two) and now TorrieBerg got left laying (again for a second or two) and it only took 3 people to do it. Torrie pisses me off I might even cheer for Sable which is surreal. At least Nidia had some personality and was fun.
-Benjamin vs. Chavo- Nice match, even though to be honest I'm just not feeling this Gurrero as faces and kind of like tassel says Team Angle are good in the ring but I can't really connect with them no without Kurt or even Heyman around them.
-Tajiri vs. Big Show- Referee saw Mysterio push B.Show to the ringpost why didn't he call the DQ? Oh well, this match was actually pretty entertaining. I enjoyed this match more then I'd ever expect to, Tajiri is so much fun to watch and Big show looked pretty good in there for the most part as well.
-Lesner vs. Albert- My Gawd I can't believe how much I enjoyed this match! Cena rap in the beginning was awesome, and his commentary was even better and whenever the match had a slower part Cena came through with some ripping commentary to keep you alert. But this match didn't have many slow spots at all... I usually have a big man prejudice, I'd rather see smaller guys go at it but when two big man go full force like these two did last night. You have to tip your hat. Both these guys were ON. Still not really an Albert fan but I'll give credit where it's due great match he and Brock put out. Best bigman match I've seen in a long time. Easily best match of the night.
-other stuff- ATrain/Cena, One reason I could never give the Smackdown roster/crew full marks is the never before seen footage they showed last night, Why couldn't we see it when it first happened (if no one got seriously hurt). It's so bush league holding it off until they feel like showing it. But man that was a scary bump what was classic was Tazz's reaction in the background. He looked away and covered his eyes like "Oh Sh*t Alberts ruined". Oh well the Train/Cena backstage skits were awesome man is Cena the most attention grabbing personality I've seen in years. Great how he knocked the VCR over and said "I'm so excited I knocked the VCR down" LoL...
Sable looked like she was trying to sexual entice her nephew backstage... Big Show got a 9.9, 9.8, 9.9, 9.5 (damn french judge) on his television throw last night, great form, distance and velocity... What the hell was Brock carrying backstage, looked like some fighter jet missile... Stephanie bending down shoving her ass in our face, that along with Torrie bending in front of Sable, it looked like all women were advertising something, can't really think of what or care to write about it LoL.... FBI Betting on wrestling! It might ruin these guys chances of getting into the WWE Hall of Fame Hahahahaha.
I thought this Smackdown was damn solid with great Cena/Brock build and very good matches through out the show. Hell even Torrieberg got beaten up for once Bonus!.

I'll crush all opposition to me And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay
Nice to see 'Playboy' Buddy Rose has gone back to being a brunette. Oh wait, that was Piper. Shelton Benjamin should be extremely happy that Paul Heyman had the book on SD long enough to create Team Angle. Because if Team Angle didn't form, he might be stuck with the 'Kill Whitey' gimmick on RAW. If Benoit has to team with Nathan Jones, can he sue the company due to cruel and unusual punishment? If Torrie and Sable were never on TV again, I wouldn't be upset. Looks quickly at the PPV card: Three guys have not had a match on TV in at least 9 months on that card: O'Haire, Nash, and the guy Nash faced at Starrcade '98. You'd think they would have at least given O'Haire a match on TV before they threw him on PPV. How long until Angle comes back to risk crippling himself for our amusement? Because SD desperately needs him.
There is only one man left to save Vince McMahon and the WWF/E. One man who will provide weekly Hogan/Andre Main Event ratings for RAW. Baghdad Bob is your salvation Vince. www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com
What I meant earlier by `Happy Brock' wasn't really referring the little shuffle he does at the top of the ramp (or his taunt in SmackDown SYM, take your pick), but more how's he all smiles, shaking hands, kissing babies, etc. After Austin won his first World title, he didn't switch to a fan-loving so-and-so. He was still a miserable character. And I think that's what Brock needs to be.

Other than that, I think he's a great candidate.

They explained this on Velocity last week, back when Crash was a "Moore-on" Shannon prevented Crash from entering the ring that way. He pointed to the Hardyz book as if to say "A true MF'er doesn't enter the ring that way"

I think they didn't show it at the time because they weren't really sure that Albert wasn't seriously hurt. (Well, that's beside the fact that they had to have time to air the "Al Wilson may be dead" video on that show.) That clip was from the Tucson show (wienerboard.com) on 1/7/03, & it looked even worse from where I was sitting. Even though Albert-Train was insisting he was OK, I don't think anybody who saw it was all that sure about that fact.
I really enjoyed their match on this week's Smackdown too! It came across on TV much better this time just how impressive these big guys banging around are.
Because SOMEONE'S gotta open a SmackDown thread. I'm no recapper, so I'll just say it was a fairly decent show. The main event was actually good and it built some good hype for the PPV and for Monday's Raw. I will say this, though.
