Why not stack SD full of New Blood? Have Steph raid all of the younger or less used Raw guys like D'Lo, Stasiak, Johnny the Bull, O'Haire, and Richards. Then fill it out by bringing up some of the development talent. Of course ratings wouldn't surge immediately and they'd have to be patient cause it would take all these guys a few months to hit their stride and really start cooking.
Yeah, the SD! roster is really sad right now. We have Edge and the incredibly decrepit, intolerably slow and inexplicably popular Hogan for top faces and Angle and Brock "no one gives a shit about me" Lesnar for top heels. If SD! could grab Benoit, Flair and Kane they could have a good roster again. Personally, I think the WWE is beating us over the head with too many roster changes too quickly. Plus, Easy-E stealing Jericho in addition to the Maple Leaf Militia was pure overkill. RAW does not need Y2J for anything, and I would have liked to see him wrestle Edge for a while longer. That cage match was sweet.
It's nice to see a lot of new faces, but they need more established people as well, to get people to watch the damn show. Edge is great, but he hasn't been a top face for too long, and doesn't really have draw power. Hogan has draw power, but he is godawful in the ring. The years have been much kinder to Flair. Angle rules in the ring and on the mic. Brock is only a top heel because of his ridiculously abrupt push, and he is nowhere near ready for it. I think they moved him to SD! for the sole reason of piping in canned heat for his sorry ass. These four cannot carry a whole show, not even Angle, despite the fact that he owns. Bring in Benoit and we'll have more classic matches with Angle, plus he's another worker who can make virtually everyone look good, a must for a show with so many inexperienced wrestlers. Flair has no place on RAW right now, IMO, and would add serious power to SD! Shit, I'd trade him for the slowest man alive, Hogan, in a second. Kane is a personal favorite of mine, and I'm sick of constantly seeing him overshadowed by the Undertaker, who is a poorer worker, slower, has a smaller move set and just sucks in general. With a slot on SD! Kane could move up to the real main event where he has deserved to be for years.
There's been a few changes since then according to Meltzer. I don't know all of them, but it was a few things, like Undertaker actually knowing going in to the show about the double-cross, as opposed to what was implied before.
