Man, the last two shows (RAW and Smackdown) seemed to me to have two main events that were...well, missing something.

Rock/Benoit, me and my pals honesly all three of us struggled through this one. It was technically good, but really slow until the end. I don't know what it was, I was bored as hell the WHOLE time. And, I wasn't the only one.

Rock/HHH, sloppy as hell. Triple H doesn't have IT anymore. I was willing to give him a chance, but he's lost my confidence. I'm still looking forward to HHH/Michaels, couldn't tell you why. As for Michaels and his so-called "screw-ups" I'm honeslty chalking them up to nerves. He looked nervous as hell. And after four years, I can understand why. It seemed like the plancha was just plain misjudged, and then almost a minute later he unloaded on Hunter, didn't back up enough for the superkick so he didn't get to hit THAT.

The only thing the two matches had in common was the Rock, and somewhat strong finishes that somehow made me care (Lesner coming out on Smackdown, Michaels interjecting himself in the match). But, I was just bored the whole time during both of them. I don't know what to chalk it up to, but color me disappointed. I'm STILL looking forward to the pay per view, and with the addition of Eddie and Edge it could be the best wrestled pay per view of the year hands down. But, for some reason, I'm just not AS interested as I was. Of course, ravenous dogs couldn't stop me from watching and ordering, so I will be doing that, but for some reason I'm just not looking forward to it THAT much. Still excited. Just not THAT excited.

The REAL question is, "Who Bettah Than Cory Dillon"!?

Yeah, that's the curse of the WWE's recent long crappy streak: you're pulling for 'em, but you don't trust 'em to deliver. And at $35.00 a pop... .

They really HAVE put together a nice card, though, stacked by talent and interest-- if we could just trust them again.... As it is, I'm going to make a game-day decision whether to order or not, as in my current financial condition the first hurdle is that it makes more sense to gamble $10 on catching NWA-TNA on one of their every-other-week good weeks than to wager $35 on someone who's been disappointing me and pissing me off for over 18 months now.

My problem with the main events is that if your going to make them all non-title, you might as well have the champ do the job every once in a while. As for HHH/Rock, if your going to go to a non-finish, don't make the match no-dq.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Both nights I picked the end before it happend.

I mean seriously, did anyone expect anything other than a "Michaels attacks HHH, Brock attacks Rocky" finish, given that it was the last sell on Raw?

Did anyone predict, especially when they repeated the scene when Brock and Rock stared in each others eyes, anything other than Rock reaching the ropes and eventually winning the match?

Actually AJ I didn't think the WWE would have the GULL to do a no contest on a main event they hyped since before last weeks main event. When they could of hyped the PPV just as well with HHH getting cheap shoted by Michaels and allowing Rock to get a quick pin... Oh well it's not the first time WWE slapped us in the face. While getting slapped in the face this week sure made my decision on what NOT to spend my money on this weekend.

I DO get Sunday night off...so I *might* order SummerSlam. After all...RVD/Benoit! Eddie/Edge! Angle/Mysterio! Brock/Rock! _!! Hmm...like the others, it'll be a game day decision.

While I'm not sure what a coastline bird has to do with Raw/Smackdown main events, I too, think the no-contest ending was a dissapointment.

BUT, I also think HBK still has the ability to do the plancha and whatnot, I think he just had nerves getting physical for the first time in 4 years. If he couldn't do them, he wouldn't have tried them, right? He HAS been training, I'm sure, and he knows what he is capable of and what he is not. When you perform, (no matter what you are performing) you do NOT perform things that show off the peak of your ability - that is very dangerous. You show off what is very, very comfortable for you to do. He was probably just nervous. The fact that he got tangled up trying to do the plancha and STILL hit it is very encouraging, IMO. I bet he hits the plancha well at SS.

As long as he winds up near the opening match, I'm fine with it. Eugene was fun but like so many of these goofy gimmicks, he got exposed when they forgot that he was just opening match comedy.
