Sorry, had a busy weekend. Just got to watch the show, so here's a quick 'n dirty.
Miz TV open. Kofi vs. Miz was signed for Hell in a Cell in an IC Title rematch. The WWE Tag Team Champions were his guests, and they took turns arguing with Miz. Big Show and Dolph Ziggler interjected themselves, and Booker booked two main event matches. Hell No vs. Show/Ziggler, and Miz/Orton.
Randy Orton d. The Miz via RKO: Alberto Del Rio watched from his luxury suite.
Rhodes Scholars d. Just Kidding via Beautiful Disaster: So why have the Rhodes Scholars been wrestling in the face corner this week?
Hell No d. Big Show and Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero via No!lock on Ziggler: Bryan got beat down for most of the match, but still tagged himself in for the win at the end. He's the World's Toughest Vegan after all! Rhodes Scholars launched a post-match ambush to take out the champs afterwards.
Antonio Cesaro d. Ted DiBiase via Neutralizer: Hey, Ted DiBiase is alive! Well, he was. He tried coming off the second rope, but Cesaro's always on point with his anti-airs and he landed the Shoryuken to kill Ted dead and set up the Neutralizer.
Heath Slater w/Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal d. Brodus Clay via Dial Up Another Hit: Poor Brodus.
Layla d. Natalya via Chick Kick: Eve did guest commentary. After the match, Teddy Long (who had earlier stolen Eve's iPad) brought it to Kaitlyn to show her some apparently damning information. Eve had earlier stupidly left said iPad within Teddy's reach.
Sheamus d. Wade Barrett via Brogue Kick in a Lumberjack Match: 3MB saved Barrett from a Brogue Kick at one point by pulling him out of the ring. Hell No came down to get at the Rhodes Scholars for revenge, and cleared through the lumberjacks to do so. All the lumberjacks were beaten down or chased away save for Big Show and Dolph Ziggler after the match. Ziggler attacked Sheamus from behind and hit the Zig Zag, then grabbed his briefcase to cash it in, but was knocked out by Big Show first.
Sorry this took so long! Not that it seems anyone else was going to put it up. I should be back to a regular schedule next week.
Miz went Pipebomb Punk on Booker at the end of the MIZTV segment. Just as Booker came out to make matches out of the in-ring squabbling, Miz derided him and the lazy GM booking of main-event tag bouts and damn near won over the crowd by doing it and doing it so well.
Miz made a case last week that he can be a main-event heel again by working RAW, Main Event and SmackDown so well.
"To be the man, you gotta beat demands." -- The Lovely Mrs. Tracker
So let me get this straight: Sheamus was unhappy with ONE man interfering in his matches with Barrett, so the solution agreed to was to put almost 20 guys at ringside, INCLUDING the guy who was always interfering?
