Long's team is just filled to the brim with also-rans and losers...and an injured Mysterio. He clearly got the short end of the stick on this one.

For sake of reference, last time Zeke won on TV was back on December 30...when he beat Drew McIntyre...by holding his tights. This isn't one of Teddy's most inspired choices.

Speaking of which, what was the point of that whole McIntyre angle if he wasn't going to be included on the heel team?

Oh man. There are a lot of low cards in Teddy's deck.

Santino is now one of Teddy's big guns. Mama mia!

The board should issue another internal document saying they've seen all they need to see.

So if Johnny's team wins, would that make him the Interim Raw General Manager and the Permanent Smackdown General Manager?

Also, it sucks to not have MITB this year, but considering that a full one-third of the competitors are coming off and/or battling injuries, a twelve man tag does make more sense.

If Barrett wasn't injured, who would he have replaced? That heel side looks pretty much as-planned.

If McIntyre isn't one of Ace's handpicked guys, there's still always the chance that either Zeke or Khali is the Designated Giant Terrible Guy Who Gets Beaten Up Before The Match And Replaced. I believe Khali specializes in this very skill, and maybe Teddy could be forced to trust Drew at the last moment.

No matter what Drew did in that situation, it would be an actual payoff to his Losing Streak angle and the overall Long/McIntyre feud, so I guess there's little chance of it happening.

The lack of mid-to-lowercard faces as an encroaching Wrestlemania problem has been clear for a while now when Ziggler, Swagger, Miz, Barrett, Christian, Del Rio and Rhodes were all being kept floating around for spots in a MiTB or multi-man match (especially when Show/Shaq was still in the cards). It seemed clear that they'd either have to cannibalize Money In The Bank for any remaining credible faces to fill out a tag match, decide to push Justin Gabriel out of nowhere or count on Rey being able to work or grabbing a guy like RVD.

The weird part is that Ryder is sitting there as a face just below Santino and just above/equal to Kofi and they're (seemingly) going to hold him out of a Wrestlemania match in the year that he became a breakout sensation...just because it amuses them?

If nothing else, I hope this gets someone inside to sit down for a minute and figure out what they've been doing that brought them to this multi-heel mid-card pile-up and the distinct lack of viable mid-card faces, because fixing those problems would be great for the company.

The 619 was born out of Misterio doing a fake-out dive to the outside, right? Maybe they have the spot go:
-Santino shoots Henry with the Spitting Cobra
-Henry says something awesome so loud everyone in the arena can hear him and chases Santino to the floor
-Kofi dives on to Henry
-Christian leaps onto Kofi/Henry
-Truth vaults over the top rope onto Christian/Kofi/Henry
-They forget to catch Truth
-Khali does a weak chop on Ziggler in the ring and Ziggler sells it by backflipping over the ropes onto Christian/Kofi/Henry/unconscious Truth
-Rey runs past Khali like he's going to dive onto the pile but does the fakeout spin and then and ends up back in the ring
-All the heels on the floor turn around and get hit by multiple Cobras by Santino
-Rey laughs to himself, points to the Wrestlemania sign, points to heaven, says "I love you, Eddie!" and vanishes
-Booker says "...whut?"

Though he was Teddy's assistant of some sort last year, Ryder has no place in this match anymore. Whatever transpires between Eve and Kelly Kelly will have Ryder involved; kind of a reverse of the Jericho and Christian match that had Trish involved back in 20. As for One GM to Rule Them All, Santino replaced Ryder as Teddy's assistant way back when and has moved into the Push slot that was never really Ryder's to begin with (because Vince and Creative don't seem to really like him). Santino is now the US Champion Underdog Crowd Favorite and Lynchpin of Teddy Long. Ryder gets to make out with Eve.

Some major stakes on the line if these lineups for the 6 vs. 6 are accurate. Mark Henry could finally win a Wrestlemania match after 16 years in the company. Truth is also winless at Mania. Christian hasn't won at WM since 2004. On the flip side, Santino, Khali and Swagger all will have their Undertaker-esque WM unbeaten streaks (a combined 4-0!) on the line.

Well, they *did* just have some interaction between McIntyre and Khali on Friday. They could always have Drew ask for a match to earn his way on the team and have to face Khali.

The status on the John Laurinaitis Facebook page (which I Like) indicates (revealed?) The Board of Directors is a nine member panel.

"It's ON! With tensions running increasingly high between SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long and Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw John Laurinaitis, the WWE Board of Directors was forced to take a drastic step. The nine-member panel released a letter stating that sole control of both Raw and SmackDown would be decided in a 12-Man Tag Team Match – Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny – at WrestleMania."

I love when inter-company decisions are determined by matches. I wonder if that's how they decide who gets parking spaces or how they choose lunch too.

It's impossible for me to quantify how badly I want them to show nine screens displaying silhouettes of the nine board members on a future episode of Raw so that there could be a thread where we analyze each of the silhouettes and their disguised voices to figure out who the board members were. It would be my favorite thing to ever happen in wrestling, probably.

I won't quote the whole thing but Dr Unlikely's match layout is Tony Garea-level agenting. Excuse me, producing.

Meltzer has the face side as Kofi/Truth/Santino joined by three of Rey/Bourne/Sin Cara/Khali/Zeke/Brodus. So that could go a lot of different ways! I guess we'll see soon enough.

Guys, I get the Observer so I can tell you who's on the board:

Pete Gas is seriously on the board of directors? Man, I was going to write a joke list of nine people and include at least one Posse member "since Shane hooked his boys up." Good to see Adamle rising to such power in WWE. He'll pull some strings and have Wrestlemania 30 in Jamaica.

I feel like we've spent a ridiculous, cable news coverage-amount of time on this stupid tag match, but hey we need something to talk about since that's the only part of the card up in the air.

Heel team is locked: David Otunga, Mark Henry, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger

Thuggin' & Buggin' Enterprises has three locks: Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth

Meltzer says they'll take two fliers out of Rey, Sin Cara, and Evan Bourne, depending on who's healthy, and that SC probably won't be. And then they'll take a power guy to have a standoff with Henry out of Khali, Zeke, and Brodus. Seems to me that by getting back on TV, Brodus has the inside track over the other two, and the dominant booking of him and Henry last night means they're headed for a staredown.

I heard that more as Evan's only getting on the team if Rey and Sin Cara both weren't ready. All the Zeke fans may still get to see their guy on the PPV.

I think you're right. FWIW Bourne's suspension looks like it ends on ... this Sunday?
