This really put a drag on the whole show for me. The tag title match itself was good, as was the Benoit/Hardys six-man, but overall, not an overly noteworthy Smackdown

I figured after last weeks match where they got the DQ throw out that the belts were going to change. I was unfortunately right.

It taints it for me. I actually think the bookers forgot they had the belts. It's not quite the same as Demolition holding the belts over a year in 88-89 during maybe the greatest tag team era of all time.
I dig Deuce & Domino, but their gimmick is the kind that might get old after a few months.

Kendrick and London have been two of the most active tag team champions in recent memory, featured on almost every episode of SmackDown and always having challengers lined up for the single-brand shows. There may have been a dearth of tag teams over the past few years, but these two have been the strongest-booked champions of that entire period.
To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

And they didn't even advertise that match for the PPV. Again, I like the guys, they just deserved better. I say that as a fan of tag team wrestling.
Looks like Deuce has done what his Dad never did: win at title in WWE.
