Didn't see the whole show but the stuff I did see was very strong. Smackdown was definitely the Jericho and Styles show with both Jericho and Styles getting mic work and working a tag match to open the show and then having a fantastic fifteen minute main event match to close the show.
The Jericho-Styles vs Outcasts match was fun with Jericho and Styles trying to outdo each other and with blind tags and Styles stealing Jericho's glory to steal the win and Jericho hit the code breaker after the match to add more build to an already very well built match. AJ got a minute or two worth of promo time backstage and cut an above average promo talking about how Jericho was looking to get him angry enough to make a mistake in their match.
The Dudleys cut a solid promo where Bubba kind of channeled Bully Ray boy would I love a break up of the Dudleys and a Bubba singles push but I don't see it coming. Hey at least as heels the Dudleys no longer feel like a nostalgia act.
Naomi and Sasha had a longish match from what I read and I saw a few botches by Naomi highlighted on you tube.
Jericho and Styles had a tremendous fifteen minute match that was so much better than their disappointing Raw match. There were cool counters, great spots and great near falls and Mauro was on top of his game with a great call. Mauro even worked in that AJ was a three time NWA champ, which probably means Vince wasn't backstage. Lawler was grating most of the match but he hit the nail on the head on AJ's hair he definitely doesn't have great flow like Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard have. The only issue I had was Jericho going over as I feel like AJ should have gone undefeated for months and months instead of losing three weeks in and clean no less to a 45 year old part timer just a bad booking decision. I really hope AJ wins if they face off at Fastlane but I can't be sure anyway great match which you can watch here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xBlr3spKCL4
All in all, really good and focused show once again.

Here's the thing. I am 100% convinced the finish was not supposed to be clean. Jericho was supposed to take the cheap win after pushing A.J. gut first onto the ropes, but something got botched in the pin attempt (youtu.be). (Watch the ref try to move Jericho's feet in, then awkwardly start a count again.) The Codebreaker looked to have been an audible called by Jericho.
I mean, it wasn't technically cheating, but it would have left some doubt as to whether Jericho could beat A.J. without doing something like that.
I liked the Legion of Suck...er..Ascension and Stardust vs Lucha Dragons and Neville match. Neville and Stardust are entertaining to watch, and the Lucha Dragons are brilliant.
AJ/Jericho vs the Social Housecats? Much fun. I never tire of Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel, and Bo Rida.
I could do without the Naomi vs Sasha Banks match.
I am getting sick and tired of the Wyatt family. Same shit every single week.
Great video package send off for Daniel Bryan. I once thought Vince and co. were insane for not clearing him, but I think that they're pretty smart for that. Being a doctor, I can honestly say that I believe the WWE was in the right here. Its easy to go to another athletic doctor to get cleared, but said doctor isn't part of the organization that he's trying to get back into. WWE's doctors know exactly what's needed, not the doctors at the Arizona Cardinals or whichever teams MD he went to see.
Vince is insane for Titusgate, but lets not go there.
Take Two "I don't give a damns" and please...don't call Me In The Morning
I don't know. The botched move near the ropes by Naomi and Sasha was pretty bad, but the rest of the match had me. Naomi has really been working on her kicks. Did you see the taekwondo flurry special move or Sasha kicking Tamina upside down in a chair?!
The thing with an undefeated streak is that it's quickly forgotten in the duration of a wrestling career unless they stayed undefeated for a majority of their career.
Styles losing this soon doesn't bother me much. I don't think a long undefeated streak would of benefited him in getting over quicker. Goldberg is known for his absurdly numbered streak because that was done during the longest and most prominent time of his wrestling run. Same with Bruno's title run and taker's WM streak. Majority of their career.
No one is gonna ever bring this up. "Hey do you remember when Miz/The Shield/Bo Dallas/Taz/Samoa Joe in the X-Division was undefeated?"
I think an undefeated winning streak only really benefits you and is remembered if you remain undefeated and retire shortly after, or it has some special stipulation attached to it (king of wrestlemania, champion during run, etc). Styles doesn't need it, he's already over.
