well,I have the pre-air release and here I'm reviewing cd1 of smackdown (the first hour). I'll have cd2 in about 10 minutes. I haven't really watched it yet, just fast forward. it wasn't really a smackdown,it was more like a weird house-show. the ring is an outside ring, and in the desert heat,I guess we won't see any good matches. the show starts, how surprising, with the American national anthem, sang by a female troop. terrible singer.
Vince is coming to the ring, and blesses the troops and talk some patriotic bullshit. Santa cuts off Vince's speech, and later discovered as... Stone Cold Steve Austin!!!
APA def. TWGTT with a Clothline from hell on Charlie Hass(haven't watched the match yet,I'll watch later on)
Rikishi def. Rhyno and after the match he invited 2 troops to dance with him in the ring. they look like to midgets next to Rikishi.
Cena comes, rap and leave the ring (later on-Cena vs. The Big show for the U.S title).
Eddie Guerrero def. his long time nemesis Benoit, but after the match they hug in the ring.
in the middle we got some short movies about the troops, and scsa talking to Benoit and Guerrero before the match. hope you'll enjoy it.
I think it's great that they're focusing on Eddy's near heroic recovery from self-destruction. However, wouldn't it have made some sense to air this prior to the PPV in order to maybe drum up some interest?
