How about both? I mean, there's like 3 active, viable contenders right now.

Tajiri, Rey, Knoble.

Not much of a "division." Besides, I never said I wanted Scotty to win the CW title. He'd be filler, that's all. Unless of course he can pull off a really entertaining heel schtick, which remains to be seen.

I agree with the Hurricane thing ... that's so played out ... Spiff, were you the one that posted a few months back about having Helms come out and say comic books are for losers? ... That's a great idea about him becoming a pretty boy dick ... but I guess Vince thinks 'the Hurricane' makes too much $$$ in merchandise. But the whole Rosey/superhero thing is holding back someone who is already a great wrestler.

Yeah, that was me. "Comic books are for losers, everybody else was out picking up chicks while I'm signing autographs for snot-nosed kids...", a promo in that vein.

Problems are two-fold, though - the Hurricane gimmick makes a lot of money (very kid-friendly), and the gimmick is Gewirtz's baby, so we're stuck with the gimmick (which was great initially, but is holding him back).

Isn't Helms NOT allowed to use "Shane" becasue there's another WWE personality with that name, who just happens to be the boss's son?

and "Gregory Helms" doesn't have the same ring as "Shane Helms" does. "Suga Greg Helms" doesn't sound right, maybe "Gorgeous Greg Helms"?

Screw that glory hog. "Sugar Shane" > "Gorgeous Greg".

Unless your name is "Jim Ross", I don't think anybody will confuse the 2.

-Heyman/Cena/Rhyno interview- Heyman starts of stating that this weeks show will have alot of effect on Royal Rumble with a bunch of Royal Rumble qualifying matches. Cena comes out and tells Heyman off including an ECW bouncing checks mention. Set's up Heyman for an FU but Rhyno runs out of no where and Gore Gore Gore Cena.

-Noble vs. Tajiri- I guess last weeks Noble no showing his #1 contendership match was all for not(hate when that happens). Kinda strange having Tazz pick on Mysterio trying to steal Nidia when just a month ago they showed Mysterio's wife & kids in the stands supporting Rey(as oppose to Jericho or Christian who never had their wives as part of TV)... Heel vs. Heel match, which Firecracker stated became a theme for the night. 3-minute match, and it was a decent match even though a lot of the focus went to Rey and Nidia.

-Rikishi vs. Scotty2Hotty- Dawn Marie comes out wearing something very umm hip-hugging lets say, she's got a message from Paul Heyman that Rikishi & Scotty need to face eachother tonight... So they do Scotty tries to get a quick win (well for a 2-minute match, everything was quick). Rikishi hits one shot then the squash(literally). Rikishi had some heelish looks to him, don't know if that means anything. The face/face dynamic give a strange feel to this match

-Worlds Greatest TagTeam vs. Basham Bros- A nice 4-minute match, WGTT really impresses me, even though it's two heel teams I was easily cheering WGTT. WGTT did good work in there on the down part. The Bashams again show nothing in there that makes me want to be interested in them.

-Guerreros/Angle interview- Chavo SR. comes out to a "who's this?" reaction(hmm maybe they should have done this in Texas). Some boos haha nice improv by Chavo Sr. in saying he doesn't blame the crowd in booing him. Eddie comes out and says he doesn't blame Sr. but asks how can he raise a kid like that. Sr. Says as Jr. and Jr. comes out. Eddie stares him down as Sr. attacks Eddie from behind. Double attack father and son team on Brother/Uncle until FINALLY Angle comes out. Hey SHG, you had no comments on Eddie's Boots!

-Nunzio v. Stamboli v. Pulumbo- Dawn Marie comes out again and finally joins the FBI!! Naaa, just to tell them more heel vs heel action in this Battle Royal match as they all have to face eachother for a spot at the Royal Rumble... Nunzio says no problem "Boys step out" but the boys didn't listen and Pulumbo punches Nunzio out baada bing. Pulumbo and Stamboli start fighting and keep knocking Nunzio down each time he gets up. They all get to the ropes and Pulumbo kicks Stamboli over the top rope and eliminate him then Nunzio runs behind Pulumbo and throws him over. The FBI muscle didn't like the deal, but Nunzio calmed them down. Maybe he told them he put all their money on Nunzio! Pete Rose would be proud.

-BigShow vs. Funaki- This fabulous U.S title keeps trucking along. Glad he's YOUR U.S champion, it has nothing to do with us LoL. Both BigShow and Brock Lesner even together don't want anything to do with the very intimidating Sparky Plugg.

-Cena vs. Rhyno- There going to give this 30-minutes? No way. And it wasn't. But it did go about 20-minutes & who would have ever guessed that Rhyno of all people will be in the main event that went about 18-minutes. I think it was a good showing by both men. Cena showed he can have a good match & have the crowd into it with an opponent that has had zero push behind him. Rhyno which was the most allowed opportunity since his return didn't embarrass himself either & had his best match since his injury. Rhyno did some good charges, Cena did his thing & both mixed well. That was some nut shot by Heyman when Cena went for his 1st attempt of the FU. Rhyno crashed threw a table & Cena hits the FU to get the win... Time to wash Heyman mouth with soap but Heyman runs only to get caught by Benoit(who looked like he just came back from herding some cattle or something in his shirtless/bluejeans look) Heyman gets soaped mouth

-OtherStuff- Interesting line by Angle backstage when Eddie stormed into the lockerroom after the Chavo Sr/Jr incident. Angle says "I don't want to fight you Eddie". Hmm so much so to get Eddie into partnerships/feuds with his nephew. Nice interview again by Eddie when Angle first Eddie vs. Chavo, which Eddie didn't want to fight his own family... BigShow and Lesner using cops and restraining orders against Bob Holly, just bizarre... Heyman hypes up Rhyno... More great Billy Gunn moments with his KOTR victory which goes up there with Mabel's KOTR victory.

-Line of the Night: Tazz "Hey WWE CD billboard is right next to yours Cole. Virgin"
-Sign of the Night: "Heyman for Governor" - How scary
-3Stars of the Night: 1)Benjamin. 2)Eddie. 3)Rhyno.

Strange after writing it out it didn't seem as strong on paper as I thought it was while watching But I thought the show as a whole was decent. Nice surprising main event. The FBI battle royal was okay. Eddie acting is very good and the storyline especially with Kurt's involvement is very interesting. WGTT was entertaining as well... All the heel/heel and the face/face match gave an odd feeling to the show, but even though it was not good for live reaction I found it interesting to see partners forced against eachother like the FBI did.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is on ORANGE alert - High (Due to Bob Holly WWE Title match, Kliq/Kliq PPV World Title match, Mae Young appearance) 1/6

Rhyno in the main event!!!!!!!

I am happy

Are the "Rhyno sucks" chants still to the tune of "elbow sex"? Cause I adore Rocky Horror, but it kinda turns into "Rhyno sex" after a while, and that is just wrong.

Random Smackdown Thoughts:

I thought the show was okay, helped out by the strong final segment, as well as the Guerreros....I can't even say these matches were "good" or "alright" because they really didn't have the time to build up anything....Dawn Marie looks...different. I don't know what it is. It looks like she's had some "work" done on her face....I'm BEGGING them to bring back Brian Christopher and reform "Too Much" with Scotty....

I think I've said this before, but there's GOT to be a reason Big Show is wrestling all these "non-title" matches. I have a feeling some angle is going to playoff this....TWGTT are indeed MY favorite tag team....The Guerreros segment was great, and the Chavo Sr. turn took me by surprise....Oddly, a day later, I can't remember much about the Cena/Rhyno match....The last segment was awesome too, Heyman's acting and Cena's talking....I must say, I'm really looking forward to the Rumble PPV.

For whatever reason the E's current golden boy, no matter how much sh*t we dump on him, is Randy Orton. They've retooled, rebuilt, and released him back into the top tier.
