The matches:

Jeff Hardy v. Shelton Benjamin

This should be a standing match each week on SD. Another good match for these two ended by interference from (a short-sleaved!) MVP. Swanton twice over sends the Jeff fans hope happy.

Women's Tag: Michelle McCool & Maria v. Natalia & Maryse

Natalia looks the strongest again, as she rolls MM up for the pin.

THE Brian Kendrick v. Brian Gordon (or something)

Kendrick has a half-dance, half-flutter that he does on the way to the ring, accompanied by big Zeke. "that's 100% big Zeke!" Awesome. OK match featuring Gordon delivering what was essentially an ass-to-the-face-type-move. We'll call it the Maurice Cheeks. Think reverse
Thez-Press. Kendrick wins it for Zeke to then get in a cheep shot.

HHH v. Kenny Dykstra

Before the match, HHH says he admires Dykstra's spririt. Hehe. Not a squash, but decisive HHH victory ending with a pedigree. Trips drags Mr. Singh into the ring to bait the Great Khali, standing ringside. It works and they have a mild altercation.

Big Show v. Ryan Graddock.

Newcomer Graddock gets squashed, ended by a close-fist to the side of the head. Get in there ref!

Vladimir Koslov v. Festus

Interesting match! Some serious heymakers by these two tanks. Festus with some nice shots getting Koslov off his feet. A head butt to the chest of an advancing Festus wins it for Koslov.

The hightlight of the show (non-wrestling) was psycho Edge and crying, hysterical Vickie, with the last several minutes of the show ending with them. Edge was great.

'Brian Gordon or something' was actually Scotty Goldman, better known to all as Colt Cabana! Good to see him up on the main roster --- not so good to see him as glorified enhancement talent against Kendrick. Hopefully they develop Coltdman's character in future weeks.

Kozlov/Festus was a hell of a heavyweight wrestling match. That was a clinic on how to throw a worked punch.

“How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person I’m portraying. You’re confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says ‘I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard,’ and I said ‘You are aware that I am not really a wizard?’ and Peter Jackson said ‘I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and then I said to myself ‘Mmm.. How do I do that?’ And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras

Wait, wait, wait.

You're telling me that Colt Cabana, THE Colt Cabana; the guy all you indy wrestling fans can't stop saying great things about, the guy I can't remember EVER reading something bad about... got his name changed to the completely unmemorable 'Scotty Gordon' and... AND he got squashed by Brian Kendrick in his first match on the main roster.

(giggle.) ha... haha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I love this company. I need to see this match now. That's just too funny for words, almost.

EDIT: Name change... SEE! The name is so bland that I couldn't even rememebr it from one second to the next. WOW!

No, his name was changed to SCOTTY GOLDMAN... and all the rest you said.

Colt Cabana/Scotty Goldman is awesome.

Scotty Goldman got promo time! His Evan Bourne parody piece was really pretty hilarious.

I think Edge is trying to be the Joker.

OK enough already. What is wrong with Sliced Bread #2? Is it too "cool" of a name for a heel to run around with?

...

I mean, you never hear "Oh, he hit em with The Batista!" Or, "Here it is! The Michaels!"

I think it's kind of part of Kendrick's character, naming his own finisher after himself.

It's part of his character. Plus, let's face it, "Sliced Bread #2" is a HORRIBLE name.

The Edge/Vickie storyline fucking RULES!!! It is amazing how Triple H, WWE Champion and boss' son-in-law, has taken such a backseat, due to Edge outshining EVERYONE ELSE in the entire company.

Just because someone doesn't "need" the title doesn't mean that they won't have the title for some period of time if they come up with a good storyline for it or injuries make it necessary.
