| #1 Posted on 14.11.02 2057.56 | I know it's not just me. The Survivor Series card seems really short: Brock/Show, Elimination Chamber, Three-Way Tag Match, Three on Three Table Match, Women's Hardcore Match and now Cruiserweight Title Match (I wish that one had some real buildup)...
Think they should add a battle royale? I think they should scrounge up ten or fifteen guys from each brand and do a battle royal like last year. This year, though, the winner gets free agency instead of immunity. Raven could win and get on either Raw or Smackdown. D-Von could use the chance to jump to Raw and turn Bubba to the darkside (or be convinced to turn face). Maven could win to jump to Raw officially (or he could be explained as part of the Big Show trade)... there are a lot of possibilities and seemingly a lot of time left on the card.
Would you guys like to see this, or do you just want longer matches?

| #2 Posted on 14.11.02 2110.19 | I'm all for the longer matches, but especially after listening to the Anthology CD I'm waxing nostolgic for some old school 8-Man tags. They should do AT LEAST one of those at Survivor Series a year. It'd be like an early birthday present.
Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (2-7) - I don't know. I didn't see it. Just saw that we lost. Badgers (6-5) - Slipping into mediocrity six weeks in a row. Buffy 7.Uhh Whatever this last one was earns a 7.00000314159 because the begining was terrible, but the meat of the episode was hillarious. But filler. Just like most of Season One...Is this some kind of whacky time warp? | fuelinjected

| #3 Posted on 14.11.02 2133.53 | The way the Elimination Chamber is setup it takes 25 minutes until all six guys are in the match so it'll end up going about 40 plus the video package and intros will eat up another 10. There's almost an hour right there.
The Three Way Tag is elimination so I can see it easily reaching the 40 minute mark.
So that leaves about an hour for Brock/Show, Six Man Tables, Women's Match, Cruiserweight Match, and Regal/Storm-Goldust/Hurricane plus their usual skits.
Sounds about right to me. Maybe they'll throw a traditional Survivor Series match on Heat. | The 5th Horseman

| #4 Posted on 14.11.02 2202.13 | | I'm not a big fan of battle royales. But, they could have put together 1 or 2 traditional Survivor Series type 8 man or 10 man matches with Raw vs. Smackdown. That would have given guys like Test, Matt Hardy, Tajiri, etc. a chance to get some time at the PPV. | The Sham

| #5 Posted on 14.11.02 2211.27 | Yeah, I think a Survivor match would be better than a battle royale, too... maybe with the same stip- ultimate Survivor gets SOMETHING... I mean, they put the brackets into the logo... do SOMETHING with it. Maybe they could start a survivor match on Heat and finish it on the PPV (since they've taken to cutting to commercials during matches anyway)
was I not paying attention? When did Goldust/Hurricane v. Regal/Storm get added? I do seem to remember refilling my Coke when Cole went over the card tonight...

I'm not sure about the Goldust/Hurricane vs. Storm/Regal match. They had a match on Raw this past Monday.
I like the Battle Royale idea for Heat before the PPV. Maybe they could have a Raw Battle Royale and a SmackDown Battle Royale with the final 4 or 5 guys left in the ring to represent their particular show in a Survivor match during the PPV. | RKMtwin

| #7 Posted on 14.11.02 2234.20 | I dig the idea of battle royals to set up a Survivor match between brands. It could bring up some interesting storyline developments on both sides, perhaps where we'd see enemies reluctant to work together have no choice but to do otherwise, for the honor of the brands they represent.
And also, hypothetically, what if a situation occurred where, say, D-Von and Bubba Ray, obviously on opposite sides brand-wise and face/heel wise, decide to say "Screw it!" and start 3D'ing people all over the place? (I know Buh-Buh's in the six-man tables match, but I was using that as an example of something happening to that effect).
This kinda' reminds me of the first time WWF/E decided to change the format of SS in '94, I think, and had no elimination bouts. It struck me as odd then. Although there's an elimination aspect present in some of the matches on this Sunday's card, it still doesn't feel the same to me.
And BTW, 5th Horseman, would you consider yourself Barry Windham? If so, that would, like sodaz, rule!
(There ya go! Two obscure wrestling references! Apologies for the long post.)

| #8 Posted on 14.11.02 2343.12 | | Arite, I'm as pro-WWF as anybody you'll see here in this day and age, but I cannot drink enough liquor to make me give HALF A DAMN about hurricane and motherfucking goldust against storm/regal or the 6 man table match with people that don't even belong together. Augh. Everything else I'm looking forward to. |
