I guess I'll (grumble) root for the 49ers. That seems the soonest, easiest thing to do.
You know, we really should have just beaten the Eagles (or even the Lions). Minnesota wanted to HAND us the North... but we fumbled it.

I dunno 'bout that. If the 'Hawks win and the Cowboys lose they'll both be 10-6, so the strength of victory will be affected by all of the other games on the weekend. That's almost BCS-ish, like Boise State-Hawaii and Notre Dame-Syracuse deciding who gets in the Sugar Bowl.

Well, SOV is just the strength of the teams you have beat. so it will effeft the games of teams that Seattle, Dallas, and GB beat. Add up the winning % of the teams that lost to those 3 and compare. Top 2 get in.
If it went to the next tiebreaker, Strength Of Sched. then it would effect ALL games.

Actually, if Seattle beats San Fran., a New Orleans win over Dallas could keep the Packers out of the playoffs.
Since Green Bay beat Seattle in their game earlier in the season, Green Bay would get the tie breaker over Seattle. So, if Dallas, Green Bay, and Seattle all win, then Dallas would be 11-5 while both Green Bay and Seattle would be 10-6. Green Bay gets the tie breaker and they are in. If both Green Bay and Seattle win while Dallas loses, then they would all be in a three way tie with 10-6 records and Green Bay's win over Seattle is meaningless. Green Bay should've beaten Philly, Detroit, Arizona and KC. The Pack had the easier schedule of any major team going into this season; I had them picked for 12-4, 11-5 something like that. Mike Sherman should be fired, regardless if GB gets into the playoffs or not.
Rob asks Dave and Ric if they want to go backstage to play Hungry Hungry Hippos and Flair and Batista immediately bail. Flair wants to be Green. Man, EVERYBODY wants to be green. I was going to make a post similar to this, but declined because even though it is a *huge* revenge game, I could easily see them letting their guard down and getting beat. (No, I am not covering my ass ethier way, thank you.  )
The one question I have is, why would a GB fan care if Buffalo wins or loses?

I don't think this team can have a let down. There is just too much riding on this game. They need to win this to be sure they will have home field thoughout the playoffs. The Jags and the Jets games were classic trap games and they pulled out both. I just don't see how they will be overlooking a team that made them look foolish week 1.
Plus the Bills looked dead last week. There are a team who can't wait for 5PM saturday so they can all go home. This just all the makings of a blowout.

With their spot secure and unchangeable, Denver would be smart to rest Clinton Portis and most of their starters...hell, especially when the backups can run for 140 yards a game! I have the Seahawks on opposite the Kentucky/Louisville game. I'll be watching/taping the Hawks and monitoring the Cats on CBS Sportsline, and taping it to watch later . . . maybe.
I had to sit in Freedom Hall and "take" that ass whipping the Cards gave the Cats last year, so I'm hoping they can return the favour today. Of course, I'd trade that for the Seahawks making the playoffs in a second, and here come the State Po-Lice to escort me to Indiana or something . . .
Of course, the power went out about 3:15est and just came back on about 4:15, so I'm not feeling good on the omen aspect of things.
