I'm not a hardcore G&R fan but I enjoy some of their stuff. Anyway, Slash is co-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live this week. Last night he performed with his band in the making which also includes former G&R bassist Duff McKagen. They had a few other guys and were joined by B-Real and Sen Dog from Cypress Hill. They did "Rock Superstar" and a surprisingly cool rendition of "Paradise City".
I think with a good lead singer, this band could go somewhere. Farther than the current G&R lineup with the ever destructive Axl.
Slash and company have to be kicking themselves for letting that jackass Rose get hold of the G n'R name and trademark. They could conceivably reform the entire original band and just get a new singer.

My dad had a 45 (which is probably now in my basement) - Baker Street on one side, Right Down the Line on the other. Both of these tunes were played endlessly on our phonograph when I discovered music, and both evoke such strong memories for me.
