Pre-Show Match: Rhino & Eric Young vs. The British Invasion I think it's weird that this isn't Rhino & Jesse Neal vs. the British Invasion (although that is this week's webmatch (youtube.com)) or Rhino/Neal/Young vs. all three Brits. Anyway. The Brits win, possibly aided by a Young betrayal, as I guess no one told Rhino that Eric's a heel now.
SECOND CHANCE MATCH: Daniels vs. Shane Douglas This is for Daniels' spot on the roster, and while I think it would be HILARIOUS if Daniels got fired AGAIN, I think he'll win. I wouldn't be surprised to see Douglas go into managing, bringing in someone to feud with Daniels. (I think Douglas should bring in the Highlanders and give 'em a good Scottish name like, say, MacDonald. I think a MacDonalds/Franchise team would be money!)
MONSTER'S BALL MATCH: Abyss & Taylor Wilde vs. Raven & Daffney I really wish they hadn't called the last Daffy/Wilde match a "Monster's Ball" match 'cause it really watered down the concept. I hope this match redeems it! I think Raven will pin Wilde for the win.
TNA KNOCKOUT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Champion Angelina Love vs. Tara This is a toss-up! I'll say Tara takes the belt and they start setting up a program with Kong.
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Champions Team 3D vs. Beer Money, Inc This is another tough one, but I'm not sure where they go if Beer Money doesn't win, so I'll go with (and root for) BMI.
MORGAN'S CHANCE TO JOIN THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA: Sting vs. "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan I don't really see the point of Morgan in MEM, so I'll say Sting.
KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH FOR THE TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Suicide vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Alex Shelly vs. Chris Sabin Alex Shelly -- because Detroit needs heroes. Suicide gets unmasked and it's Elijah Burke.
KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH FOR THE TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Champion Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle Joe will be too concerned with taking Angle out, and Styles will fall off of something high, so those three guys are out. Jarrett is the guy who has a storyline going with Foley, so I thnk it'll be one of those two. Ugh. Let's say Jarrett.
Last 5 movies seen: Up ****1/2 - Black Narcissus *** - Double Dare ***1/2 - The International **1/2 - Spring Breakdown **1/2
Rhino & Eric Young vs. The British Invasion I wanna say Rhino and EY, but I think that EY will turn on him and walk out on him, leading to a British victory.
Daniels vs. Shane Douglas Karlos is absolutely correct on one point: seeing Daniels lose would be one of the funniest things ever. However, I don't think that'll happen. In a bizarre moment, Daniels wins it, but gets attacked afterward, and Shane makes the save.
Abyss & Taylor Wilde vs. Raven & Daffney They should have retired the MONSTERS BALL name after the last "match". Eh. I'm gonna go with Raven and Daffney.
Angelina Love vs. Tara Is it too soon for Tara to win the title? Methinks yes...but the feud won't be over yet.
Team 3D vs. Beer Money, Inc I'm a huge Beer Money fan...but against my best judgement, they'll lose it.
Sting vs. "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan Morgan wins it, but he becomes the MEM's official bitch.
Suicide vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Alex Shelly vs. Chris Sabin Karlos is onto something: Suicide being Elijah Burke - but are they the same size? I think that Jay Lethal will win it.
Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle I'll go with the longshot: AJ Styles. I'd love to see him with the gold.
British Invasion wins and goes on to feud with Team 3-D for the belts.
Daniels. I like the idea of Douglas then finding proxies to fight Daniels for him.
Raven & Daffney wins because Abyss is conflicted about the violence.
They really shouldn't give the belt to Tara this early. I'm not so sure they won't...but I'm going to say Love.
Team 3-D wins and goes on to feud with the Brits for the belt.
I was a little confused about the stip for the Sting/Morgan match...if Morgan wins, he's in the MEM *and* Sting is out, right? If it were just "Morgan's in", then I'd certainly pick Morgan to win. This way, it's tougher. But, heck, they probably don't make the stip if they aren't going to do something with it, so I'll still say Morgan.
Alex Shelley takes the X Division title.
The main event is tough. They say that Joe is hurt, which *should* mean he won't win, although I'm getting this awful picture of Russo booking an extended parody of the Batista situation. I think they're too "name" oriented right now to put it on Styles, Angle's had it a lot lately, and I think they're ready to get it off Foley, so I'm going to say--ugh--Double J. (Just scrolled down and saw Karlos used the word "ugh" to make the same prediction. Great minds think alike, or just subconscious plagiarism on my part?)
Rhino & Eric Young vs. The British Invasion British Invasion all the way.
Daniels vs. Shane Douglas Daniels will be winning as the Franchise isn't long for continuing his career in the ring. Managing? Sure. But wrestling? Nope.
Abyss & Taylor Wilde vs. Raven & Daffney Abyss gets the win in a match to make us forget the last one was called a Monster's Ball.
Angelina Love vs. Tara Tara gets it.
Team 3D vs. Beer Money, Inc Beer Money'll win but I don't care, as both teams are the best in the biz.
Sting vs. "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan Unfortunately Morgan'll win here.
Suicide vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Alex Shelly vs. Chris Sabin Alex Shelley wins because, as Karlos says, Detroit needs heroes. Suicide is Kaz. Should the Suicide guesses count as separate predictions?
Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle I'm definitely picking up distinct AJ wins vibes, so lets go with that. Joe and Angle will focus mainly on themselves, as will Foley and Jarrett. Leaving AJ wide open for the big main event win.
Michigan against the SEC: 20-5-1 (7-3 in bowl games)
Wife is springing for it, so I get to see my terrible predictions live.
Rhino & Eric Young vs. The British Invasion British Invasion via Eric turning.
Daniels vs. Shane Douglas Daniels in what I hope will be an old school ECW match. I like Shane, but him as a manager for guys going after Daniels is a better storyline.
Abyss & Taylor Wilde vs. Raven & Daffney Raven and Daffney. I will call shenanigans if one if the girls doesn't take a major bump. If they want to put Knockouts in these matches, they should at least carry some of the weight. I say Stevie superkick to Abyss for a Raven pinfall.
Angelina Love vs. Tara Tara wins in a DQ. Love keeps the belt and we can prolong the feud for a bit.
Team 3D vs. Beer Money, Inc Team 3D wins, yet I can see this going either way with British Invasion interference.
Sting vs. "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan Morgan will win thanks to Kurt or another member of MEM helping him. Finally leads to the Sting face turn.
Suicide vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. Alex Shelly vs. Chris Sabin I say Jay Lethal just for the continuity of him in So Cal this week. I do hope we move past this cluster fuck for the X-title after tonight.
Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle I'm going to say Foley, but he will take the bump of the night. I do expect a ton of interference tonight from Sting, MEM and Daniels to add to the intrigue.
When I watched this weeks RAW, the thought that kept returning to my head was "Heyman is back" Could he be writing for RAW? It seems unlikely, but so does him being Smackdown GM. That is awesome. And you know it's good for backstage morale.
