-Kurt Angle d. Kazarian clean with the ankle lock. -Douglas Williams d. Brian Kendrick with a top-rope Tornado DDT to retain X Division championship. -Madison Rayne d. Roxxi to retain KO championship. Last-minute stipulation had Roxxi put her career on the line, so Roxxi's done for good. -Jesse Neal d. Brother Ray with the spear. Tommy Dreamer did a walk-on to make his official debut. -Matt Morgan d. Hernandez by DQ after Hernandez threw the ref down. -Abyss d. Desmond Wolfe in a Monster's Ball match. Chelsea turns on Wolfe by handing Abyss Wolfe's brass knux. -Jay Lethal d. AJ Styles clean with the Northern Lights suplex. -The Extreme Enigmatic Assholes (no, seriously!) d. Beer Money, Inc. after Anderson pins Roode with the Mic Check. -RVD d. Sting with the Five-Star Frog Splash after Jeff Jarrett returned and beat the crap out of Sting.

So the big surprise was Tommy Dreamer? Laaaaaame.
I absolutely hate the Jeff Hardy/Ken Anderson tandem becoming permanent and I hate their team name even more.
And what the hell's the story behind Roxxi putting her career on the line? If the plan was to have that stipulation thrown in the whole time, they probably should have mentioned it at some point to try and sell the match. But logically, why would she have accepted that stipulation, anyway? There was really no reason for her to. She already HAD the title match.

Do you reckon somebody noticed that she wasn't a bubble chested blonde?
I understand the lure of the payday and "giving back to the business" and all, but I wish some guys would just stay retired for a bit longer.

Well, to be fair, Dixie never said it was a "big" surprise -- just a "nice" surprise. There's still the other, "this will change everything!" surprise coming up. (Meltzer says, "All that hype and the big surprise is Tommy Dreamer," but I think he's confusing the two things.)
I do agree about the "lame" part -- I hope this is a one-shot or at most a limited engagement, because very few people bore me more than Dreamer. What is there for him to do, anyway? Maybe they'll bring Raven, Stevie, and Rhino off the bench to join him if this Heyman thing comes to pass (which would still bore me).
I hope the Roxxi firing doesn't stick. Is that the only reason they brought her back, to give Rayne a "career ender" gimmick? Weak. The KO division is thin enough already without dumping people who can work and are well-liked. Wow, Meltz says that "apparently she showed up and found out she was done with the company." That's awful.
I didn't watch the show, so I don't have much to say. Reports seem to indicate a fairly solid show overall with a couple of weak matches including the Main Event. Anyone here actually see it?

I was going to order it, but after the beating my wallet took at Wizard World, I passed. I guess with Angelina Love and Daffney coming back TNA's thinking is they don't need her. I disagree, the KO division needs all the help they can get with Tara and Kong being gone. Dixie did re-cant later this week saying tonight was the "nice" surprise ie Tommy. Tommy had some good matches last year with Swagger and Christian, so I am sure he can still go in TNA. TNA had most of the right people go over minus the Madison Rayne and Abyss wins, so on paper it looks ok to me. TNA is in this weird place where they are licking their wounds from the Monday Night debacle at the same time trying to find something that works. They have a good world champion as well as X-Division champion, good workers and some interesting storyline. The problem is the sum of these parts doesn't equal a whole. I don't think another house cleaning is in order, but more of a house that needs to get their shit together is what is required. We will see if that is the "The Company Changing Decision." I doubt it since TNA still wants Hogan around.
I saw the show and thought it was pretty good - at least in terms of in-ring action.
I didn't know about the Roxxi thing but, if true, then that's a pretty lame thing to do. I thought Roxxi was a good worker and I hope that, like every career ending match in wrestling, this one doesn't stick.
As for the Tommy Dreamer thing, I liked it - he didn't do too much other then show up in the crowd and distracted Bubba Ray so I'd imagine we'll see more of him on Thursday. The crowd was really hot for him, though.
Kaz/Angle, Williams/Kendrick, and the Hardy/Anderson vs. Beer Money were absolutely incredible matches (though I was surprised that they had Angle opening up the show - especially since it set the bar pretty high for the rest of the night).
Roxxi vs. Rayne was as decent - with Roxxi doing a Flair level of bleeding during the match. Honestly I was hoping for a James run-in after since Rayne ended up posing in the ring for a while but we got nothing.
Ray vs. Neal was good but really more of an angle then a match. They teased a break up with 3D before the match after Bubba Ray did a bit where he teased going to the back with Dvon and Neal but, instead, ambushed Neal and sent him back to the ring.
Hernandez/Morgan was more of the same from Impact - more of an angle then a match, really.
Wolfe/Abyss match was an overbooked mess with a ton of violence (which saw Abyss going through barbed-wire and taking a face-first slam into "shards of glass"). Finished ended with a "shocking swerve" when Chelsea tossed the brass knuckles to Abyss and Abyss picking up the win.
Lethal/AJ was fantastic! - It got a lot of time and was a really good, traditional mat-wrestling match.
Sting/RVD was a disappointment but, honestly, did you really expect a long match with Sting? Shenanigans occur with a ref bump and Jarrett appearence before RVD picks up the win with the frog splash.
The good outweighed the bad, really, with the best stuff being the tag match, AJ/Lethal, Angle/Kaz, and Williams/Kendrick. Overall a pretty good show, I thought.
Wait, so according to Meltzer, Roxxi showed up for work, found out it was her last night, bled hardway, crimson masked, jobbed, and was wished well on her future endeavors?
Even Bryan Danielson would find that pretty shitty.
Thumbs up show. Enough good wrestling to keep it that way. I didn't care much for the Bubba fake turn (who would've bought that?) or the Morgan/Hernandez stuff. The main event was just OK, and most of it was the TNA vintage walk-'n'-brawl. But Angle vs. Kazarian, the Beer Money tag match, the X Division Title match and Lethal vs. AJ was enough to get a positive review from me.

I agree - it's vintage Bischoff, if this is true. He never really cared about the WCW Women's Division and now, ever since he came in, this sort of thing is happening again. I like Madison but I don't see the reasoning behind giving her a "career killer" gimmick - it's fine for her to win if they want to build up to having a strong babyface challenger come in but did they have to sacrifice Roxxi too?

According to ODB's facebook that she updated two hours ago, she's going to be out of action for a while filming a movie

The amount of crap that Roxxi's been through with the company through the years (including getting her head shaved) is really high considering she's never gotten anything back in return.

Oh come now. Nothing? I concur she's been treated badly, but nothing? She did draw a TNA paycheck during those years (which I hear isn't much but still more than she makes on the indy scene in New England where she made her bones). She's enjoyed (inter)national visibility on cable television. She's more famous now than she was before TNA, which helps her fees in the indies. That's something.
Sadly, if she wants career elevation in North America, there's only one place left to go, but have they ever been interested in her?
Of course, Nikki "Roxxi" Roxx can always get Wrestlicious.
Oh, ODB quit. Says so on her Twitter:

Maybe that should have been its own thread. Oh well.

Okay, granted; I should have said that what she's gotten (the pleasure of being on TNA television, but very little over and above that in terms of sustained push, etc.) doesn't seem commensurate to what she's put up with (head shaving, injuries, repeated "come here, go away" hirings & firings).

Huh. Not surprising seeing as she's vanished from TV. They should have convinced her to stay long enough to get her career ended by Rayne, though.

I should be more upset about this, but it just gets a big "meh" from me. The fact that ODB's release doesn't even merit its own thread shows how much she's run her course in TNA. Her last couple of years have been brutal to watch with all those crappy segments she was in.
So the draft is down, and I guess starting on Thursday we're going to see the beginning of the split crews working in seperate environments. By reading on the board I noticed many people think Vince had the better "Draft" which I agree with.
