EDIT: Considering there are two posts here, both linking to DDTDigest reports, I'm assuming he made the claim more than once. Perhaps someone who was crazy enough to watch WCW Saturday night circa late 1999/early 2000 can clarify.

This never happened.
It's an old (bad) recappers' joke - here's another link predating both of the DDT Digest links Click Here (slashwrestling.com) - I don't have more evidence handy, but I think it was Steve Anderson who got most of the blame for popularizing it/running it into the ground back in the day.
