Given the fact that Eddie Guerrero has been languishing riight now, with no momentum or direction, after being THE most over face on Smackdown, it appears that only two options will light a new fire under his ass: a heel turn or a reformation of Los Guerreros with Chavo.
Chavo, who will be returning from the SSP injury soon, is poised for a strong face pop, and an ability to ride the momentum back into the upper midcard. Given that that is the place that WWE is trying to establish Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns, it would doubly assist the Guerreros to get the dramatic reunion in, as a way of building even more of a following. In that fashion, Eddie could also manage to play more of a supplemental role, as Chavo pursues a singles agenda. Hopefully, fans used to chanting for Eddie will respond to Chavo chants led by Eddie.
Do you guys think that reuniting Los Guerreros would be beneficial, or would it represent a step backwards for both men?
I've got a bit of a bias right now because I just purchased the Eddie Guerrero DVD this weekend. So, in my current frame of mind - HELL YEAH they should reunite. As a matter of fact, I'm currently watching the Guerreros vs Angle/Benoit vs Edge/Rey match from Survivor Series, so I'm getting a little nostalgic.
I know it hasn't been that long since they've teamed up, but let's face it -- Eddie has nothing to lose, and it would help Chavo if they do indeed want to keep him as a strong face. It doesn't have to be a permanent thing -- but you could imagine Los Guerreros vs The Dudleyz down the road? And if you wanted me to REALLY mark out, bring back Chavo Classic to counter Spike Dudley's interference.
Anyways, Madiq -- great call. I'd love to see them teaming again.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing that happen. Apparently there aren't plans for Eddy to re-enter the WWE title hunt any time soon (I mean, Hardcore Holly AGAIN?), and it would certainly give Chavo something better to do than trading wins with Nunzio and Funaki on Velocity.
The best way for them to kick off the reunion would be to have Chavo challenge Spike for the CW belt when he returns, have the Dudleys interfere in the match and beat Chavito down, Eddy saves (blood's gotta protect blood, after all) and then we've got ourselves a nice little family feud for Smackdown. Adding in Rey for some six-mam tag action would make things even better.

I'm all for it ... As I've stated in another thread, it doesn't look as if Eddie will be in the WWE Title picture anytime soon, so why not have him and Chavo inject some life into the tag divsion ... I sure as hell wouldn't mind seeing the Dudleys & Los Guerreros battle in a TLC match for the straps ... why not throw RVD & Rey in there for good measure as well?
Whoa...that was like the total opposite direction, as I was imagining Los Guerreros as sort of a face version of "Vitamin C," hanging around in the uppercard, but tagging together from time to time. I really want to see Chavo in the U.S title hunt, and I think that Chavo & Eddie together could make it happen.
Even though it seems like a great solution to pair the two up, for the sake of storyline continuity, I'd rather not see it (at least not so soon). I know continuity doesnt mean squat in WWE, but after such a bloody long drawn out feud they had, they would need a killer storyline angle to reunite the two. Just throwing them back together with a wet band-aid would be counter productive.

According to the Torch, Chavo has been squaring off against Carlito on some recent house shows, so maybe he will be put into the U.S. title picture ... they need face titleholder on Smackdown now as all the champs are heels.

A near broken neck/skull wouldnt tear at Eddies heart? Chavo is blood bro and if Billy Kidman was on the top rope with Chavo laying there waiting on a full heel Kidman to drop the SSP ..... oi caramba here comes Eddie to save Chavo I can see it and I do think Eddie needs a boost
Eddie is one of those guys who's fun to watch in the ring, but I've never cared much for his WWE character. "Look at me I'm a racial stereotype, I say things in Spanish"... I guess I just don't get it.
I thought before Wretlemania Eddie was involved in a lot of good stuff. I really like his feud with Lesnar, as Brock played a pampered jock who looks down on Eddie... Also really liked the "Who attacked Eddie" angle arond the same time to Wrestlemania where Kurt pretended to care in getting the Guerreros to make peace with eachother but Kurt was just using the situation for his own agenda in trying to get Eddie out of the WWE title scene. That was some real good stuff.
But after Wrestlemania, the JBL storyline just bored me. JBL character along with this feud would be okay in a mid-card but this feud was way too cheesy for a main event. And now everytime Eddie picks up the mic and tries to be funny, it just doesn't work for me... Eww just had flashbacks of Eddie stealing GM Kurt Angle stuff and goes to the ring to auction them off. With all the bad in ring interviews that's been done this year that would be up there was one of the lamest, and THAT'S saying something especially considering how good Eddie has and can be.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19
Chris Jericho and his 45 year old librarain hair cut really isn't working. It's like when Ric Flair cut off his hair in the 90's and looked like the head of a penis ... or maybe it's not. You just can't go messing around with the hair of an over star.
