Well, so much for the era of Sherk as the dominant champ. If UFC wanted to gain some good pub for itself in the wake of this (and in the wake of the Benoit/Bonds controversy), they'd come down hard on Sherk and Franca even post-suspension. Sherk especially....he's the champ, for pete's sake. He even had that big episode of UFC Unleashed where he went on and on about how he's a fitness freak and how he takes such great care of his body. What a phony.
If I had to guess, I'd say it'll be BJ Penn vs. the winner of Stevenson/Pellegrino for the vacated title.
Turned on the Roddick-Hewitt match this AM during the 2nd set tie break. Roddick had a chance to go up 2-0 but couldn't close him out. Got up 4-1 in the 3rd set and then was up 3-1 in the 3rd set tiebreak and he never sniffed match point.
