Shawn is going to speak later on tonight, this must mean they aren't done with him... so much for leaving with respect.

Or maybe he's announcing his retirement but I wouldn't see the point.

I think that it's always helpful whenever a talent like Michaels can continue to be utilized in a meaningful way. His match against HHH at SummerSlam helped to get HHH over as a major heel again, and HBK's promise to get revenge on HHH is a good way to keep suspense going. So, Michaels can get the job done himself OR find someone else to take down The Game.

Kayfabe wise, I think Michaels said it best BTW, as it pertains to HHH's inevitable doom-- "Don't hunt what you can't catch..."

I have only one thing to say. Like his new T-Shirt sez:

THE POWER OF GOD WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!

Isn't it ironic seeing a guy with a "Saved 1" shirt lying in a pool of his own blood with a head-sized hole in the car next to him?

What I don't understand is why they're pushing the 'PAUSE' button on this storyline. Shawn has serious face heat right now, and there's really no point in him working the paralyzed angle(not to mention how tactful it is). If he's done for good, say he's done for good, like the last time he was done for good. If he's not, then hurry the frick up, and let the fans be excited about a storyline again, like they were during their SummerSlam match.

Sheesh... must I solve everything?? :-)

I think that they're leaving him in the background for a reason. If he fucks up HHH now, there'll be nothing to look forward to, and no time for him to rest his back besides. Something tells me HBK will never be far from the HHH storyline, just allways floating under the water, where you can't see him real good. Oh well, I can always hope right??? RIGHT??!

Triple H won't lose the belt cleanly, so perhaps HBK will use the sledgehammer in a match to set up RVD's 5 star frog splash. He's the most over face right now, so it makes sense.

Not to nitpick, but I believe the quote was even more (kayfabe-ly) ominous than that. I believe it was, "Don't hunt what you can't kill."

They're absolutely going to keep Shawn around as an antagonist for HHH, and I think your choice of the word suspense is exactly what they're going for. I would think that they'd include somebody else, both to relieve Shawn of too much day-to-day physicality, and possibly to put somebody else over.

Uh, who's coming back from injury soon?

I think the real story is that the wheelchair has stolen Shawn's smile.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to Clique buddies. Besides, this is one of those occassions where it makes more sense to have HHH get the rub. That is, unless HBK is coming back to wrestle on a regular basis [hopes, dreams, and sets self up for disappointment].

The funniest thing about Shawn's promo was how he thanked God and wore a "power of God" shirt and then said he was gonna get sweet revenge against Triple H and brought out the hammer.

Doesnt' he know he's supposed to turn the other cheek and that "vengeance is the Lord's"? In fact, I think WWE has used that verse about vengeance.

You know what though. After watching the HHH-Bubba exchange, I wouldn't mind seeing Bubba win the strap. If only for the "Holy Shit" factor of it all. I know Bubba isn't exactly five-star material, but what the hell. We are supposed to enjoy this shit. And if people enjoy RVD or Bubba or Booker or Goldust or even Bradshaw(that I'm not paying to see) then let them do it.

Besides at this point almost anybody is an an improvement of the 15th run for HHH.

The ultimate interference - Shawn runs out onto the ramp during a HHH match and drops to his knees. By using the money which was previously used to pay X-Pac, a 'thunderbolt' hits HHH square in the chest. Then Shawn could give a thumbs up to the arena ceiling, where a giant hand sticking though a cloud gives the thumbs up back.

I agree, and with two world titles right now, it would be easier than ever to do a shocking title change like that.

And, hey, I don't think anyone expected the belt to wind up around Bret Hart's waist in the fall of '92, and that worked out pretty well for them. For five years, anyway.
