The Portland Trail Blazers resigning of Darius Miles created a significant problem at the two forward positions. Zach Randolph is their power forward and will be so for a very long time, leaving Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who feels most comfortable at power forward, in tweener limbo.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the New York Knicks would be more than willing to take Abdur-Rahim. Abdur-Rahim has only one year left on his contract, though it is a significant $14.6 million.

Isiah Thomas would likely trade Kurt Thomas or Allan Houston in return.

Trader Zeke.

Maybe he and Cuban can start their own fantasy draft league.

Kurt Thomas doesn't make enough to make this deal work on a straight up basis and even Portland wouldn't want an overpaid, weak kneed, no defense playing, soft shooting guard like Houston.

"It's the late '70s again, minus the coke (and, weirdly, minus the scoring)."

Chuck Klosterman on todays NBA, from the face-off column with Bill Simmons.

SAR for either player doesn't work capwise. And like dunkndollaz said; why would Portland want Houston?

Thats a good question, considering how much the players have bought into the motion offense, which was much different than Self's....they are such a team unit now that I would say no...but thats just a guess.
