It's set to premiere in about a month on August 18. In the first episode he'll "take on" (the article doesn't specify what that means exactly) Ben Roethlisberger in football. In future episodes he's gonna go up against Serena Williams, Albert Pujols, Michael Phelps, Misty May-Treanor, and more.
That's a pretty impressive list of pro sports superstars. I have no idea how this show is supposed to work but damn if they don't have me interested!
Forgot my Sirius yesterday and they were talking about Shaq coming to town to face Big Ben on local radio.
Apparently Shaq is going to work with a local semi-pro football team for a day, then the next day he will face off with Ben to see who is the better QB.
I have to guess Shaq will be getting some sort of handicap to help him out. But if I hear anything about the tapings (I think they are this weekend) I'll pass it on.
This will be fun, though I think it could be even better if Shaq went against a horse jockey or a NASCAR driver, just for the hilarity of dealing with the space/ weight restrictions in both of those sports. Maybe he's saving that for the second season.
