Various sites have been reporting on the rumor that Shane Mcmahon will be on RAW this Monday to address Kane's attack on Linda.
Could this be leading to a Shane O'Mac vs. Kane match at Summerslam ... The only other face opponent that would make sense for Kane to face would be RVD (since they never really had a match this past Monday) ...
Wonder how long before 'Taker shows back up on RAW?

If that's true, and they do have a match at Summerslam, I'll be damned if Shano and Kane don't put on one hell of a show.
In any event, I tend not to believe the rumors that he actually will be showing up, because Shane seems to know to stay out of the on-air product when it's going through a down period, like it has been for the last year and a half or so.
I'd be into that, yeah.... it's been a while since we've had a good Shane O' Mac match. I have no doubt a Kane/Shane match would be watchable. However, Vince should really be the one coming out this week to avenge his wife/be attacked by Kane. Of course, that would screw up the whole `having an affair on the other TV show' thing, but like anyone cares about that at this point? It should be Vince, because everyone knows the current WWE hierarchy is: RVD -- JR -- Linda McMahon -- Vince McMahon -- Austin -- The Rock --Stephanie McMahon -- HHH.

I can easily see Shane demanding to take on Kane only to be talked out of it and championed by an active wrestler. Or a returning wrestler with a dramatic entrance.
I'm wracking my brains to come up with a wrestler who owes Linda a good deed and Austin's the best candidate. But I don't want to see that match again.

I think a match between Kane and RVD would be more likely and would prefer it to Kane v Shane. RVD, being an actual wrestler, would benefit more from the spotlight than Shane would.
I completely understand the enthusiasm people have for seeing a Shane-O return, but I hope that if he has any in-ring action that it would be on RAW - saving the PPV spot for VanDam. This return may not even be long-lived if Shane intends to remain off-camera for the time being. His appearance may solely be to put even more heat on Kane by having Shane play his fodder of the day.

Not that I'm advocating him wrestling again, but classically, Linda's champion for a while now has been Mick Foley. During the invasion angle, there was a big pile of plotline including Linda, Foley, Shane (& Steph), Austin, & even a bit of RVD. Regal too, BTW. (Have we heard anything recently about how he's doing?) See CRZ for Linda appointing Foley as comissioner replacing Regal. Foley's a formerly-masked lunatic (or sorts), who's wildly popular as a sympathetic character, which meshes in neatly with the current Kane story. What have we got by way of backstory between Kane & Mick? Ooh, I just had a painful thought -- the WWE would never be crass enough to leverage such a thing in a storyline, would they? -- Foley's house just burned down.
I like that Foley idea ... that's pretty sweet ... doubt it will happen because it is a good idea and the WWE doesn't seem to like those anymore.
How cool would it be for Mick to make an appearance talking about his book tour, etc. with his family there at ringside. Kane comes out and attacks Foley, trying to set him on fire. When he looks out and sees the tears in Foley's family's eyes, he stops. He then proceeds to attack Mrs. Foley ... thus setting up a Foley (or Cactus Jack) vs. Kane deathmatch ...
Now I would pay money for that ...

I think I remeber a Kane match where Foley tried hitting Kane with this oversized crescent wrench that would have killed anyone. Kane no sold it in character and THAT is what kane needs to be again. someone who CAN NOT be hurt at all.
I know that Kane annihilated Foley at some time during his early build up, and it may have been on PPV. What I do remember is that the match was conducted completely under Kane's red entrance lights, and thus not visible to 99% of the audience.
Sometimes I ask myself why I watch WWE after all the crap it's given me. HLA, necro, HHH, and so on. And then it hits me. That one simple phrase that can be modified and used for anything that gets you down, yet makes you keep coming back.
Every episode has the potential to be the best one ever, and I'll be damned if I'm going to miss it after sitting through this shit.
There was also Kane and Foley's brief run as tag champs, which I think ended with Kane tossing Foley in a dumpster and bringing a sledgehammer down on him.....

Shane may be next in line for Kane, and I think it is exactly the kind of match Shane can excel in. He can run around, get in some garbage-based offense and then get destroyed. The match would probably culminate in Shane being thrown from a very high place. For some reason, when I peer farther into Kane's future, I see Goldberg.
I wouldn't mind seeing Shane, if only for a few weeks, to advance the awesome Kane storyline. Just as long as he doesn't cut a lame promo like the one he cut on Kurt Angle when he talked about cookies.

I completely agree with you that a McMahon vs. a wrestler storyline would suck, but I think that Shane can be viewed as actually being a wrestler (as far as being able to at least hold up his end in a match--to a point), as opposed to his father, sister, and mother, who are most definitely not wrestlers in any sense. Therefore, while technically it would be a McMahon vs. a wrestler storyline, it would at the same time be a wrestler vs. wrestler storyline.
And you know Shane would go all out to make Kane look like a brutal in-ring killer if it would get Kane over with the fans.
Hey, Shane's held more titles in his WWF career than most wrestlers ever do! He was an undefeated European Champion and the Hardcore Champion, and all his matches were pretty good.
I say feed his ass to Kane and see how it goes.
