so, im cleaning up my laptop a little but here in the add/remove programs listing i run into something called the sentinel system driver

should I remove this?

I dont remember seeing it here before...

Sentinel.SYS does appear to be a valid Windows process. I don't know whether you have to have it running, but it doesn't appear to be harmful.

It's made by Rainbow Technologies.

It looks like the software that runs a hardlock dongle: a piece of hardware that is used to prevent software piracy on certain programs. If you don't have anything like or connected to your compuer, you probably don't need it.

Edit: can't get the wiki image to load right.

First guess would be the monitor normally. However I had a PC at work that displayed VERY similar behaviour last year and it was running an NVIDIA 6100 or 6200 (can't recall which).
