SEE NO EVIL probably cost about $5 million to make. Seeing as it's opening against a film like DA VINCI... it's expected to make about $5 to $7 million over the weekend, and by that number, it'll do this. | Roy.

Did anybody here actually see it? I'm not a horror movie guy and figure I'll never, EVER want to see it so I can't help you there.
Keep an eye out for the reviews at http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?^See+No+Evil+(2006)

Wow.....I didn't realize:
#1. The film was made for so little with practically a "Blair Witch" budget.
#2. The WWE had such low estimate expectations for it.
I'm just so not used to seeing a somewhat strongly advertised film premiering in 5th place in its opening weekend, will make just 4 to 5 million in its opening week, and the film studio is actually pleased with that.

But here's a positive review from Ain't It Cool:

Actually, it's more of a "It's so bad it's actually good" review. But that's probably the best this film can hope for.

| #10 Posted on 20.5.06 2252.47 | Instant Rating: 4.07 | | According to IMDB, the estimated budget for See No Evil was $8 mil. For comparison, the budget for Da Vinci Code is about $120 mil. Percentage wise, they've both made around 20% of their budgets back in their opening night. If the box office has legs for another week, See No Evil will have no trouble making back it's investment domestically. Factor in foreign box office (and from what I understand, slashers tend to do really well overseas), and See No Evil should actually wind up doing quite well for itself. | Leroy

No, I'm not spoiling it cause it was quite enjoyable and if you like Kane, then you should probably go see it. He basicly plays his wrestling character but with the killing people. He does get in some wrestling moves as well.
Personally, I'm guessing I liked it because they didn't go CGI with the effects. This had a really old school 80's schlocky slasher feel to it. Greg Dark could really have a serious film career with this. Direction wise, it was on par with Rob Zombie, who kicked ass on DEVILS REJECTS and HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES. I'd like to see him perhaps take on the next FREDDY/JASON film or something where he gets to spend more money.
...on a side note, I forget who it was, but someone on here said they didn't like movies where they did nasty stuff with eyeballs. Whoever you are DO NOT GO SEE THIS... that's all I'm saying.
I'm rating it 3 out of five skulls. It's enjoyable for what it was and it could have been much worse. | CRZ

It IS 80's bad. Lots of guts. But a serious lack of nudity. They need more gratuitous nudity in a movie like this.
It cracked me up that they actually credit Jacob Goodnight as being played by "Kane".
