| #1 Posted on 8.7.06 1202.26 | Instant Rating: 4.70 | Hi there;
I have a sneaking suspicion my roomie is coming into my room when I'm at work, so I want to get some proof. Well, sorta.
What I'd like to do is download a program that will record my webcam during the period when I'm at work. You know, kind of like a security tape? I don't have to be able to access the feed from work or anywhere...just as long as it saves onto my computer so that I can view it when I get back.
Can anyone recommend anything? I've toyed around with a program called WILLING WEBCAM but it doesn't work.
Thanks;
Oliver

Ummmm...I'm running WIndows 2000 Pro and I have an Intel PC Camera...can't recall the model number.

But in the meantime, you could just turn off your computer monitor and still have your webcam recording. That way it records your room while you're gone without alerting anyone to its presence.

As for turning the screen off: I lock my computer and shut the lid (for lack of a better term) since I use a laptop.

You might want to poke around their site and see if you can d/l it and try to get your webcam to work with it.

Thanks, everyone, for your help.
