With Wrestlemania argubaly the biggest PPV of the year I want to know what you think the second biggest is. I'd say the Royal Rumble

I'd say some years the Rumble has actually been BETTER than Wrestlemania. (Except of course when you invite Drew Carey to participate.)

call me crazy, but i always really liked survivor series. i guess it's because i always loved tag matches and the lesser known superstars, and so that ppv kind of combines them both into one. well, when they actually still had survivor series-style matches. now it's just another random ppv.

Summerslam is supposed to be the second biggest card of the year, but it rarely is. The other three big-5 PPVs have a special gimmick, but Summerslam is just WM-lite. I think they should give it a Clash of the Champions gimmick, where all of the matches pit a SD! wrestler against a Raw wrestler.

And, yeah I love the Rumble.

Survivor Series for me. It usually has a great card. But This year King of the Ring is my favorite PPV since I will be seeing it in person.

If, that is, there will BE a King of the Ring.

Uh...Rumble. I'm a sucker for the gimmick.

I used to like the Survivor Series back when they had teams and the teams actually had team names. Now, its the Royal Rumble. I love the Royal Rumble match, even if the winner is always predictable.

Would've been the Royal Rumble cause i love that match, but last years SummerSlam converted me. You can't see a card like that and call it WrestleMania lite because it was THE BEST PPV of last year.

Sure SummerSlam might be a great card in any given year, I just mean that it's part of the big 5, but it doesn't have a gimmick, and it's not WM, so it sometimes seems like any other PPV, much like Survivor Series does when they fail to do any elimination matches. I think that Brock "winning" the Main Event slot, like a Rumble winner at WM, gave it a little extra shine this year.

Once they switch to only having four mixed-roster PPVs per year, that won't be an issue anymore. Summerslam will be the first time we've seen the whole roster in one place since WM, which will make it plenty special enough. I just think that an all interpromotional card would be cool, and would be a good fit for SummerSlam.

The Royal Rumble rules. King of The Ring would be much more interesting if the tournament involved the top stars and wasn't just filled with midcarders. It tends to be really predictable...

I think that King of the Ring is cool because it involves midcarders instead of main-eventers. I get sick of seeing the same three guys in the big matches. King of the Ring is nice because it spotlights people who wouldn't get the attention otherwise.

Apparently I may be the only one who doesn't like the Rumble. I enjoy seeing people who have been out of the loop for a while in it, like Curt Hennig, but it gets boring after a little bit. Seeing ten guys in the ring at once is annoying rather than exciting to me. I like to be able to follow the action closely, and that's impossible in the Rumble (or any other battle royal) unless you tape it and watch it a bunch of times.

Okay, you've got a point there. However, I'm usually not into King of The ring because the midcarers I'd like to see in it get eliminated in two minute squashes on RAW. KOTR has generally been pretty disappointing to me since Owen Hart won it back in 94...

if we're counting everything (even those that don't exist anymore), i'd say war games was always pretti cool, visually anyway. that or clash of the champions. if not, i think the royal rumble ranks up there at number 2.

Back in the first year that ECW ran PPV's, I used to anticipate those a week ahead of time. They seemed so different than the other two companies and I would sit in silence for most of the show watching it like a psycho.

So this is what it sounds like when the doves cry.

That's the Catch-22. It would be great on paper for an up-and-comer to break Undertaker's streak...but how do you truly know that you have an up-and-comer worthy of such a massive honor?
