Not a bad episode. I probably would have found it funnier had I played any MMORPGs. When Stan's dad's WoW character was killed at work after he just went on a diatribe of how much better the World of Warcraft was in real life I laughed for a good five minutes (most probably didnt even think that was funny).

I thought it pretty much summed up this thread: http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=30521

I must be really out of it. I had NO idea South Park had started up again. (I blame Kim's devotion to "Project Runway") That plot sounds like I have to catch one of the zillion replays, though.

Just absolute brilliance. The part where Kenny's character was killed got a laugh out of the room, but the best part was the ending.

It might be premature, but I'm ready to rank this one up there with the "Lord of the Rings" episode.

TEN YEARS AGO IN WRESTLING HISTORY: OCTOBER 1996
WWF: Mankind d. Undertaker in the first ever Buried Alive match at...WWF Buried Alive. Also, Steve Austin continued his efforts to bring Bret Hart back to the ring by turning on Brian Pillman, shattering his ankle in what to this day is known as "Pillmanizing".

WCW: Hulk Hogan d. Randy Savage in a main event no one cared about, but Roddy Piper came out immediately after to end Halloween Havoc with a bang. The Outsiders won their first WCW Tag Team titles by beating Harlem Heat.

I could see you going WTF if you hadn't played WoW.

I was disappointed that there wasn't a single Horde on the game, and that they didn't at least cover the annoying RP sex in Goldshire.

Also, there should have been a guy talking about Chuck Norris all the time at some point.

I've never played World of Warcraft but I do play Halo with my friends once a week on Xbox Live. Anyone who has played any online game and had their asses handed to them by other players who spend hours and hours a day getting much better than you can relate. There's nothing worse than running into jerks online who are already better than you and who mod the game to cheat. They think they're awesome because they can manipulate the game to their advantage -- I think they're buttholes who need to kiss a girl once in their lives.

Great episode.

Best line + visual: "Mom! Toilet!"

I've never played an online game, but I had no trouble following the lingo. This may be the first time I've heard someone say "pwned." I laughed a lot at this episode.

It was hilarious to see their toons do the emotes in conjunction with what they were saying. Butters walking up in-game with the same character as Cartman made me lose it. Just the way Cartman's dwarf looks over Butters.

Oh, that and Clive reading the Playboy while they were getting killed. As someone who plays WoW, I had this thought that some people do that exact thing while pretending to be "AFK".

Can someone recap the very end? My DVR cut off right after the other players started coming out and saying "We're free!"

My VCR did the exact same thing, I'm guessing Comedy Central was running one minute late or something and it really irritated me.

The father and son have a touching death scene, punctuated by the Dad acting his death-gasps out loud at the Best Buy table. The Warcraft guys eye him warily.

One of the kids then asks what they do now, and Eric says they can finally play the game. And so they do. They sit in their chairs moving items and spells, and we go right to the credits.

I stayed up to watch the ending Friday night (yes, I'm old 11:30 is officially staying awake now). I was surprised, I simply assumed that Cartman would pick up the sword and kill everyone. Their ending was better than mine.

This show is doing exactly what it should do. I'm entirely hooked on this show. I can't wait to see what's next. More importantly for them, I'm getting interested in the rest of the UFC product. I really liked Jorge's intensity and heart.
