Originally posted by Spaceman Spiff I'd rather they do a best of 5, with the final/blowoff match at the next PPV, rather than squeeze in everything at Slam.

Then they'll do the next four-probably gimmicked up-over the course of the following month, with Booker winning the final match at Unforgiven. There's no way they'll try any kind of 3/5 Falls or 5-matches-in-a-night-deal at SS.
Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique. | CANADIAN BULLDOG

In Toronto... Cena is over HUGE, so even though a title victory would be better, I think just a regular win would be fine.

Especially with Booker T being habitually injured and Cena having 5 moves.

Personally I tihnk the series is a terrible idea, as in order for it to hold the fans' interest long-term they're gonna have to rely on either running the gimmick well dry or Booker and Cena's chemistry being a LOT better than we have any reason to believe. Whatever happens, we're gonna end up with two wrestlers and/or a buncha potentially valuable match stips overexposed.

Granted, they've been involved in mostly multi-man matches, but the segments with Book & Cena have been better (IMO) than any combo of Cena/Suzuki/RVD/Reigns.

Isn't Unforgiven currently set to be a RAW only brand PPV? That's what I remember reading last. And Cena is set for some sort of hiatus next month.

That's a great lineup ... but I'm wondering if they may milk the Tag Titles storyline a little longer ... I actually like the way that has been progressed, with Rhyno & Tajiri almost having to "earn" their shot.

As the resident RVD mark, I'm quite upset by his absence. Still, though, it seems like a pretty good card, so I won't complain. Let's just hope that they keep 'Taker/JBL to under 10 minutes.

I just find it hard to believe there is nothing for RVD or Haas to do when Smackdown's roster is pretty thin. Maybe the Kurt/Haas match will make someone realize that one of their better wrestlers is being wasted. Actually a Haas/Angle feud would be great after Angle/Eddie.

There was a breif storyline, I think right after Nathan Jones left, where Taker was talking backstage with Jordon, being all chummy and stuff. Kinda like Taker was going to be his mentor or something. It went on for a couple of weeks, then it just got dropped outta nowhere. If they wanted to do a modern day Virgil gimick, they should have just brought back the original. | BigSteve

There may be some continuity in this storyline somewhere, but the chances of WWE mentioning or even remembering it are substantially less than zero. | | Pages: Prev 1 2
