No breakout stars in the vein of a Rebecca Sealfon, and nothing as perversely entertaining as the fainting kid last year. But this was the best competition I've seen in years. Samir Patel has "it" and is eligible for three more years. Bet the ranch on him to take it next year.
Why would you want Trinidad to retire for good? He's an exciting fighter, as shown in the vast majority of his bouts. The Mayorga/Tito fight this year was exceptional. Sure he's one dimensional. Sure, his defense is sorely lacking.
